People go (went) to LU because there is a common set of core values and beliefs that you would not find at JMU.

As a LU alum......I dont view LU as just another school....The school that I happened to go to. That is all JMU alum have in common with their school.

Their is a kindred spirit at LU....a sprit that I feel we are loosing. When I was there you could walk up to a random student and their was about a 99% chance that person thought basically the same way you did.....spiritually, politically, etc...

Lib is not just another school and from what I can tell is not going that way. Sure they change but from what I can see it's more of can you believe kids these days kinda change.

Is making professors signing a statement of faith, chapel and taking religion classes not Christian enough?

Mercer, Belmont, Baylor? all nationally ranked and at least requires some of what i said above.

Heck to go along with those schools Dallas Baptist and Houston Baptist all have frats/sororities. I guess they're not Christian?

I hope that everyone is following Christ fully by the time they leave Liberty. We have a great mix of 95%+ student body who come hear with that relationship and hopefully the other 5ish% are there by the time they leave. In every way but that I hope we countinue to diversify. I love that we have people from all over the US and the world at Lib. I love the different ages too (with the online and grad programs they are building). I also love that not everyone who goes to LU believes that republican=Christian bring on some God fearing Democrates

Thanks 09...to extend my point, if that is all we allowed then folks like SCAR, or bigsmooth or myself would have never come to the mountain, or Eric Green or Darren Amoo or Sam Chelanga or Silvia Betancourt or Loren Thomas or Vince Redd (who I believe is working with at risk youth now after his brief NFL career) or Sam Gado or any number of other people...and Im not inferring that just because if youre a black kid you have problems...Im trying to get at the heart of your assertion that we cant be a diverse university (and as 09 said but apparently that didnt get into your thick head either...we can be diverse in EVERY way except spiritually and that point hasnt changed)
