With as good as these 2 defenses are, I think a 7 point lead is like a typical 13-17 point lead. I also think just the mental aspect of playing from ahead will be HUGE for our guys.

I didn't comment on that prediction, but I think you're right. Any more than a 10 point lead at half and LU probably wins by 14-20.

Having said that, I don't think that will happen based on our defense and last year's results. I expect a close, low-scoring game (more points than last year, but still low scoring).

No matter how good defenses are, a one score lead is a one score lead. One busted coverage or missed tackle and it's tied. I won't panic if LU drives down and scores on their first possession nearly as much as if they kick a field goal at the half to go up by 10.

That seems to happen to Liberty -- Youngstown was a ranked program, then were lousy the rest of the year. Ball State is just no good. Is there a Liberty curse or something
