I just thought it would be nice to have one place to go for injury updates each week. Coming from Chris Lang's twitter last night after the game:

B.J. Hayes-feared to have broken finger
Jimmy O'Grady-possible serious knee injury
Pat Kelly-didn't play second half (hammy)

Any updates on any of these guys or anybody else that isn't on this list?

BJ's injury may be more than a broker finger. Reports i heard said that a bone was sticking through his glove. He was taken to the hospital during half and spent the night there. Rumored to have surgery this morning.
a couple of other players sprained ankles- no names in cases Dookies look here

BJ had a compound fracture to his pinky(?) finger. Not sure how long that takes to heal, but can't be good :(

Coach said on radio show the finger was dislocated and he should be ready pretty soon, but probably not this week?!

I assume since it was only the second game of the season, he would redshirt. Is that correct?

You all won't miss Hayes on punt returns...our kickers like to kick out of bounds after about 20 yards...

Would they put Ayers or Fogg back there? I would think the last thing you would want is a freshman fielding punts in a game like this...

I'd probably kick away form Fogg, but at least kick one to Ayers to see what he did.

Ayers fielded them most of the game against NC State and RMU.

Were they all fair catches? I noticed he's only got one return for one yard...

Is Fogg strictly a kickoff guy? Seems he's had some success (understatement) and would think Rocco would try him out on a punt or two.

Yeah we've had ALOT of fair catches this year. But if they had a stat for # of plays back there, Ayers has more than Hayes. Probably something like 9 - 6.

Fogg has never done punt returns. I don't know why.

Punts are a lot more difficult to field, so that could be it if he's having trouble. Also could have something to do with playing CB. Does Ayers start? If not, that could be why he gets the nod over Fogg for punt returns too.

Ayers starts at safety. He splits time with Jeffrey Henderson.

Fogg does not start. He's our #3 corner.

Yes our secondary has plenty of depth.

Hamstring injuries are alot like ankle injuries (especially high ankle sprains like Summers had last year) in that they can bother you long after the initial issue

He did seem to lack some of the "get up and go" that he had last year and even leading up to the NC State game

Completely unrelated, but I yanked a hammie on the final turn of the Boston Marathon 10 years ago and I haven't been the same since.

Let's hope Pat can get healthy in a hurry...as in 46.5 hours from now.
