Last time I was in Williams Stadium was Nov. 2002 for the HS state championship game (sadly can't be there this Saturday). Looks like a lot has changed. Did you guys build the new upper deck on top of the original press box side? Has anything changed with the away side of the stadium? Just trying to get a general overview of what's changed in the last 9 years...

What hasn't changed since 2002?! We no longer have that hard astroturf. We now have a fieldturf that most football fields have now. We tore down the old pressbox and built an upperdeck with a 5 story press box that includes luxury suites, coaches booths, club level, etc. We also built a Football Operations Center behind one endzone about 5 years ago. State of the art facility with a large weigh room on the bottom floor. 2 years ago we got a brand new jumbo tron video board on top of the FOC. We have a 60 yard video ribbon just installed this week on the front facing of the new upper deck.

Nothing major has been done to the student side, yet. Plans are in the works to redo that side with an upperdeck in the next year or two. I know I'm leaving plenty of small stuff. But that's the major things. Completely different stadium from 2002.

This is what it's supposed to look like with all 3 phases of expansion done in the next 5 years or so. Capacity would be around 30,000.

Yeah, by what 1,200 seats? Nothing big, like I said. Just extended each row towards each endzone on each corner of the stadium.

Shoot, that posters name reminds me, is the JMU band coming? If I recall correctly, they weren't very good listeners when it came to when they could and couldn't play.
