It says in the Liberty way, 30 reprimands, fine, possible withdrawl with a minimum of 2 semesters out.

So, either it's the Liberty Way, or the Liberty Suggestion.

I miss his presence in the D-Line. But it's not worth sacrificing the integrity of our program for one win.

I know that jbock...Im just saying that people are comparing this situation with the Brandon davies situation. Davies broke the school code, and was punished for it. Asa broke the school code here, but he also faces criminal charges for what he did. Davies wasnt facing possible jail time for having sex with his girlfriend

I wasn't commenting on your words BJ, just commenting on the situation as I see it.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

BJ, a tear comes to my eye because you just displayed a tremendous amount of logic. :D

It's being added to your resume....I believe this will take us over the top.

Flames defensive tackle Asa Chapman, an All-America candidate, has been suspended indefinitely after his arrest on two drug charges last Friday. His arraignment hearing is scheduled for Sept. 12.
Has this been changed?

Per Chris in his notes last week ...
NewsAdvance.com wrote:According to court documents, Chapman’s initial hearing will now be Dec. 7 at 2 p.m., a date that’s well after the end of the football regular season.

how does this affect the possibility of red shirting him (if he is reinstated to the team in the future)

Redshirting a player requires no action on the part of the team. If Asa does not play this year (which looks more and more like a done deal) he should still have a year of eligibility left. It is then a matter of whether he will be reinstated.

I have heard, and believe 100% from this source that Chapman will be back for the Flames.....take it to the bank. I want to hear all the details why the school is allowing him back on the team. We are called to forgive, but we are allowing someone to do whatever he wants and not pay the price for his crime. This is just going to hurt Asa after he leaves the mountain. Absolute horse crap! Liberty is better than this!

There will need to be serious comments from Rocco, Barber, and Jerry explaining this. Aldreakis was kicked out of school for less than what has happened to Asa so far.

SJ - Asa is a bigger talent, figuratively and literally, than AA! What more explanation do you need.

If this really happens I will be so disappointed. I knew people kicked out for weed and it was their only trouble thet got while there. Not justifying their actions but it gives the wrong message if you let a football player get away with this to the entire student body at a time when support by those same students is at an all time high. We can't pretend a choice like this won't hurt some of that

We've had players get in trouble before but the past situations have never been the topic of conversation like this one has been. I wonder if its because its never been clear what would happen to him other than letting the legal system play out.

If Asa comes back this year, someone owes Aldreakis an apology. Unless Asa is completely cleared of all charges, he should sit a year at least. I don't care how much we need him on the field -- some things are more important than football.

I can't believe this! I mean, if they were going to let him back, why didn't they do it last week??? Terrible coaching decision!

I agree...We dont know the story ("sources" can be wrong as with any person) but if Asa does come back I expect there to be some sort of explanation...and hopefully a good one

DUDE! Where the crap did this come from? How could they push the date back? Please tell me Barber and Rocco really aren't considering this.
