Yeah, an MCL sprain is nothing to take lightly but it shouldn't have any significant issues in the coming weeks. The only concern is if it becomes a recurring injury.

Can you believe that we are now just a week away from the opener? In seven days we'll be on the field introducing the NC State world to how we seriously we take football at LU.

I posted this information in the parking thread.

you can park for free @ the vet school lot corner of blue ridge & hillsboro
pay parking is available at westchase office complex off of blue ridge
you can tailgate at both lots
parking will open at 1pm

Of course you can't tailgate in an LU lot... how dare you even think about it!

We'll write a comment in your transaction that authorizes him to pick those up. Just have him remind the person at the window that he is authorized when he comes to pick them up the week of the game. We will probably still ask him to confirm your address for security purposes. Once he picks them up though, he's responsible for the tickets :)

Thanks I will call tomorrow ....

Pack -29 over Liberty.

Some others of interest:
Syracuse -6 over WF
Clem -16 over Troy
BC -3 over Northwestern
GT - 36 over WCU
Duke -8.5 over Richmond
UVa -7 over Wm & Mary
UNC -17 over JMU
FSU - 28.5 over La-Monroe
Miami -5.5 over Maryland
Sou Caro -20.5 over ECU
Boise St -3 over UGa
Oregon -1 over LSU
VT -25 over App St
Vandy -11 over Elon
Central Mich -17.5 over SC State
Cincy -43 over Austin Peay
Oklahoma -21 over Tulsa
Does anyone know what the line was for App State/Michigan? Would an LU Win over NCSU be the biggest upset ever or would that still belong to App?

Michigan was the defending national champ and ranked #4 if my memory was correct.

This certainly would eclipse our '89 Eastern Michigan victory as the biggest upset in our school's history. I'd be happy with that alone.

From Wikipedia:
"....the game was expected to be such a mismatch that some Las Vegas sportsbooks refused to offer a betting line.[ Michigan was a 27-point favorite in the contest."

From a State's fan POV I think it would be a huge upset but not as big as the App-Michigan game even though the betters disagree. What many Liberty fans don't know about State this year is how the media is trying to make it seem we have no experience o our offense. We return 4 of 5 offensive linemen and the #5 OT from the 2010 class who started some last year. Every starting reciever this year did see decent playing time last year it just wasn't with Mike Glennon.

I'm not sure the consensus line remains 29. That's a HUGE number. Some of our friends on here who have greater experience working the numbers can chime in.

That's an offshore line, and yes, I'd jump on it if I could get it. Wiseguys are too smart to put a line that high considering both LU and NCSU's recent history in crossover games. State, in a similar game under O'Brien against a top-25ish FCS teams, beat Wofford by 21 in '07 and William & Mary by 10 in '08. Liberty, in similar games against top-30ish FBS teams under Rocco, lost by 20 at Wake and by 13 at WVU.

The Vegas books haven't put any lines on this one, but I'd suspect if they did it would be closer to 20 than 30. You want a number that promotes action on both sides of the line. You'd be silly to take NCSU and the 29 points considering both teams' history.

I think for people that have know the history, they would know that 29 is a stretch.
However if we are talking about promoting action on both sides.. I think this number is about right.

Another great preview from the Scribe today!

Liberty has had one of the nation’s best offenses in each of the last two seasons, and with the glut of skill players returning, those numbers will only get better. And there’s a sense of urgency at LU. If the Flames don’t finally break through and make the playoffs this season, with the collection of offensive talent on hand, will they ever? The what-if questions will be put to rest with a perfect run through the Big South schedule post-Thanksgiving football at LU for the first time ever. Bottom line: 9-2, 6-0 Big South.

To be fair, we were 5-7 and 6-7 in those respective years. Against W&M we were playing with a backup QB, and in the Wofford game we were starting a QB who was benched later in the season...
