They are making site visits to CSU & GW today. Does this mean those games will be on tv?

Site surveys were completed at Charleston Southern and Gardner Webb yesterday and yes those games along with the away games at Stony Brook and Lehigh are on the schedule to be aired live on the Liberty Channel and possibly other networks.

No HD this season, but the prospects for it in the future looks good. Thanks for all the kind comments. We will also be doing some away men's basketball games this year, thanks to Chancellor Falwell. The TV broadcast schedule should be posted soon on the Flames website as soon as the Big South media day concludes.

I can do without HD. It would be great to have, but I'd rather have EVERY away game on TV than HD.

Ironic that the Big South doesn't seem to want LU/Stony Brook this year. That would seem to be a key matchup this season.

I will be out of town the last Saturday in September (Lehigh) and the first Saturday in October ( Kentucky Wesleyan) . Glad I'll be able to watch the games online. I do believe that this is the start of something BIG for Liberty.

hmmmm...

this just in from the BSOUTH...

we have ALL 11 games on TV??? thats news to me unless I've been out of it. Cool tho: 9 on FSN and 2 on ESPN3.

The Big South's seven-game TV slate features three games on ESPN3.com, and two on the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) and WMYA-TV 40 in Greenville/Spartanburg/Asheville, plus one simulcast on WMMP-TV 36 in Charleston, S.C. In addition, Big South members will appear on Bright House Sports Network, CSS, RCN Cable, and Time Warner Cable Sportsnet this fall, while Liberty University's Flames Sports Network will broadcast nine of 11 games involving the Flames
also- someone saw the light and the Stony Brook game is now on... LIVE
The Nov. 19 Liberty at Stony Brook contest has been changed to 3:30pm to allow the live broadcast on the Flames Sports Network.

I miss Jerry Edwards.

Edit: Alen York, since Jim Tressell is gone, I think the red sweater vest was a good look the other day. And you do a fantastic job! No homo.

SBU was on the schedule for 1PM. Is the time change to accomendate TV, Do they have lights at their stadium? Two years ago it was a day game too. Late November game on Long Island they may need the lights on the the 1PM game .

Yes they do. They played a 3:30 game against VMI in late October last year. By that, I'm assuming they have lights.

The one that always worries me is when VMI plays in late November. I remember I went in 2008 and when the game was over the sun almost set over cameron hall. Most teams who don't have lights move their games back to noon (or 1). Not VMI.

SBU was moved to accommodate TV. The stadium definitely has lights. The last time LU played up there, SBU hosted a prep football doubleheader (sectional championship games, I think) right after the college game.
