With the 2011 Liberty Flames reporting for camp this weekend, its time for the final part of my look at the 2011 team before deferring to our excellent resident scribe and his more in depth look at the team...

Alex Kacere 6-2 190 Lbs (Wooster HS)

This is another position where youll probably see little change among the starters (at least when it comes to the kicking duties). Bevins has come in and been as solid as a rock from his freshman year on. He owns the Big South and Liberty records for field goals made (season and career), has only missed three PATs his entire career (and the one he missed in 2009 was blocked), his 45 PATs in 2010 ranks 5th all time in the Big South, his 106 total PATs entering 2011 ranks 4th all time in the Big South...the list could go on and on. Mike Larsson stepped in as a freshman and took the punting job and has not given it up except for midway through the 2008 season (and Bevins took over for him there while he was recovering from an injury). Look for a lot of players to return kicks and punts for the Flames this fall. Flames fans may know the name Alex Kacere from this youtube video:

If he can make field goals with this kind of accuracy it will make for an interesting battle for the kicking job in 2012.
