Tyler went 13/17 for 361 yards passing (4 TDS) and 109 yards rushing (1 TD - 78 yard run) on 6 attempts before being taken to the ER close to halftime after sustaining a head to head late hit.

Health wise Tyler is doing pretty good, he had a couple rough games coming back from his concussion where he was clearly a bit on the cautious side.

He was accepted to Liberty last month and is supposed to be in contact with the new coaching staff soon. Right now he has several preferred walkon offers but we have a strong feeling that several teams are right on the verge of offering. He has several in home visits from some schools coming up in the next couple weeks. He had a strong senior season (all things considered) throwing for over 4,000 yards and 40 touchdowns.

Should he not end up getting an offer (even academic of some kind) he will more than likely end up walking on at Liberty as that is where he feels really comfortable and at home.

If he is strong academically (1270 SAT or 29 ACT), he should consider Liberty's Honors Program and its academic scholarships: https://www.liberty.edu/academics/index.cfm?PID=173

That's what Sam Gado did before he went to the NFL.

Quick update. Due to his level of comfort as well as academic support, it's looking like this will actually be coming down to Stetson (who is starting a program in 2013 and desperately trying to piece some Florida kids together) and Allegheny (who has sent a full coaching staff to come visit as well as prepackaged academic support for him, they really need him to come in and play right away given it's a division III). The only way I see him ending up at Liberty right now is if he can either get good academic support or if they do a "preferred walkon" type situation like Samford, South Alabama and ECU are offering him.
