It's official. The eyebrow is running for senate.

Thoughts? Kaine vs. Allen. :banghead It's either dumb or dumber I guess.

The establishment.

It's just my opinion.

Definitely NOT voting for Kaine. Probably not going to vote for Allen either. Hopefully Radtke can pull off an upset in the primary. This will likely be the first time I'll vote in a primary race for the Republican party.

I will be voting in the primary against Allen, but if it's between RINO and the eyebrow, I'm gonna have to go with the RINO...

If its between Allen and Kaine, I will likely vote for Allen...then again, if I'm completely dissatisfied with all the candidates in 2012 I'll be doing a few write-in votes.

Fiscal conservative, social moderate. I'd vote for her over George Allen, but still hoping Radtke gets the Republican nomination.
I'm not ready to take that bait yet. Democrats are much more united, they'll do and say anything to get elected.

Of course, I know you already know that.

Jbock, Republicans will also say anything to get elected

On the surface I'm inclined to vote for her. I'll have to research the history of her company and see just how successful it has or hasn't been. She's definitely not an establishment candidate however, which is a big plus.

Allen's record of supporting deficit spending doesn't impress me, and Kaine rode Mark Warner's policies during his tenure as governor getting Virginia to be rated as best managed, best for business, most efficient, etc..

I'm no George Allen fan at all, but Mark Warner and Tim Kaine are total frauds.

Just my opinion. I'm at work and have no time to backup my reasons, but I will do so later :D

Mark Warner was great as an executive, and when compared with Jim Gilmore's tenure as governor he rightfully won the election. However, as a legislator I've been sorely disappointed with his performance. He towed the Democratic party line and did not adhere to the sound fiscal principles he used to govern Virginia or run his business. It wasn't until after last year's election that he moved back towards fiscal conservativism, but I am interested in what him and the "Gang of Six," have to propose now that Rep. Ryan and Pres. Obama have issued competing budgets.

Tim Kaine was a moron, most of the accolades that Virgina won while Kaine was governore (Best for business, best managed, most efficient, etc...) were a result of the groundwork of Mark Warner's policies endorsed by a Republican legislature.

ALUmnus, I read that article. Good one, hopefully she can garner some positive publicity and momentum prior to the primary.

I just laugh at all of these politicians. Allen, as mentioned before, is like most Republicans, too comfortable with deficit spending and we saw what Kaine did when he didn't have to appease conservatives in a red state, he towed the party line and moved to the left. He loses all credibility to me as his record as chairman of the DNC speaks for himself. No matter the Republican, they have enough ammunition to beat him soundly on election day. It really depends on the more liberal turnout in northern and eastern virginia. If the Democrats unite their base, it could be tough.

If a serious Libertarian doesn't enter the race, I'm probably going to register Republican and vote for Radtke. She's not perfect, but she opposes the Patriot Act and that is a huge deal for me.

If she doesn't win I'll just change my party affiliation back to Libertarian and write in a fictional character like I always do when there isn't a candidate I like. I think this year I'll write it Lightning McQueen in honor of the new, totally awesome sequel to "Cars".
