Made the treck down 460 East to hear some great "Grass to the Bone" bluegrass. But I have mixed reviews about the restaurant. I called them Thursday to inquire about the music/menu, and they said the band couldn't make it until
Friday. So I delayed my trip to Friday and showed up about 6:45 with a friend from church. It took them forever to even bring me an iced tea and a menu, even though there were maybe less than a dozen customers in the whole restaurant.
When I placed my order for Virginia BBQ, the server came back a few minutes later to say they were OUT of BBQ (at 6:50 on a Friday night!). So I switched to flounder, which was a small portion but some of the best tasting fish I ever had. We also got 5 vegetables--mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, mac & cheese, cole slaw, and sweet potato caserole--for $14.00 and they were all good. And dessert was included: peach cobbler with ice cream.
So what was the problem? On the bill, they added an unadvertised $5 "cover charge" per person for the music. Since I invited my friend, I covered his meal, too, so the bill was $41 for the two of us. With tip, i paid almost $50 for an hour of bluegrass and some good (not BBQ) food.
