I heard some of the VCU bashing. Every year you have two or three questionable picks. It's no different with football bowl games. The one good thing is that mid majors getting at large bids shows they are getting respect nationally.

I think the only team that they really screwed up on is Colorado. Some of the seeding is sort of strange, but I think it should be a really entertaining tourney this year.

Yes I do actually. Similar styles, I can see Bellmont with the upset.

I picked belmont to go to the sweet 16 because I have utah state upsetting the 5 seed. Remember wisconsin escaped wofford last year.

+1 I was suprised with them out and UAB and/or VCU in. OF those 3, Colorado should have been a def. and VCU and UAB should have been split. VT, again, did NOTHING after beating Duke. They BARELY snuck into the ACC Semi's and got beat handily. Plus with only 6 players, I have no problem with that decision. Had the won out, won the tourney or a host of other things to get in. They CONSISTENTLY shoot themselves in the foot.

I cant recall any selection committee getting blasted like this one is, by the talking heads. Every year they have some teams they think should have made it but never heard them question if they know the ball is round. I enjoyed it.

Also, Voice...be careful about calling to hear from Hokie fans on here....you may end up getting one you'll soon regret

To quote my statement earlier...

Ohio State's AD was heading up the selection process? No disrespect but he can't get his own house in order and you expect him to get 68 teams in order? It's a tough job though and I dont envy him one bit.

Colorado should've been in ahead of UAB. I have no problem with VCU getting a bid over VT, as I will agree that Tech did nothing after beating Duke. Had they not lost to BC, beaten Clemson on the road, or something, not been swept by UVA during the season, ANYTHING, they'd likely be in.

For what its worth Georgia State beat VCU at home this year. we were AWFUL and still managed to beat VCU for the first time since joining the CAA. They are one seriously streaky team. if they shoot well they can beat anyone if they go cold St.Mary's school for the blind could beat them.

Great win for VCU last night. Tired of all the hate they've received.

As for upsets, I got Belmont as the lowest seed winning (13). I also have 2 11's - Missouri and Marquette. As much as I wanted to pick Richmond over Vandy I don't see it happening. First time I've ever not picked a 12 over a 5.

But yeah I think seeds 3-6 are pretty weak this year. So, once you get past today and tomorrow I don't see a lot of upsets.

Richmond upset Vandy. What a great day for college basketball. Upsets make this tournament. I can't wait for the rest of the tourney. It's too bad ODU didn't pull it off.
