The most successful program on Liberty Mountain deserves its own forum. We give Coach Green and the Lady Flames their props while breaking down their run to the Big Dance once again.

This is intended to be a separate thread for tourney talk, if any moderators want to lump it in with our LU game discussions they may.

Quarterfinals are on Friday.

Still waiting on DirecTv to update the channel schedule to see if it will be Televised on FCS-Atlantic.

1 LU vs. 8 CCU 12:00 P.M
4 High Point vs. 5 CSU 2:30 P.M
2 Radford vs. 7 Winthrop 5:30 P.M
3 Gardner Webb vs. 6 UNC Asheville 7:30 P.M

My tourney guesstimates.

LU vs. CCU - LU
HP vs. CSU - HP
RU vs. WIN - RU
GWB vs. UNCA - GWB

LU vs. HP - LU
GWB vs. RU - GWB

LU vs. GWB - LU wins

Seems on the Big South website that FCS Atlantic has been taken off so looks like it's a no go.

HP looks real dangerous right now. We beat them by 8 there and 1 here. They have a great offense and good defense. Hit 18 3 point shots in their last game and blocked 29 shots in last 2 games  . Cheyenne Parker will be a real challenge for the next 3 years. She had 21 points and 16 rebounds and 3 blocks in 20 minutes of action against UNCA. She will be FOY for sure! We need some production from our PG if we are to make it to the finals. There's not a lot of separation from 1-4 seed. I'm hoping we play our best in the next 3 games - eliminate TOs, make foul shots and play good D.

Sorry I keep changing the info here.

The LU/CCU winner, who plays the HP/CSU winner, will be live on MASN at 4pm. That's the only game I can find right now. As of right now, MASN is not covering the final.

High Point is definitely dangerous, however they will probably have their hands full with CSU. We can't afford to overlook any team in the tournament, including Coastal. While CCU is typically less-than-impressive with women's bball, blind squirrels are capable of finding a nut every now and then.

Agreed. If we play like we did against Presby or like we did at the Vines we could be in trouble. This team (LU) is at times offensively challenged. Our ppg, FG pct and FT pct is down this year from years past and TOs up.

If you look at the win we had in the Millis Center earlier in the year, we shot 36.4 from 3, 17 turnovers (which isnt a terrible number...a tad high but workable) and Parker had only 5 points and 4 fouls. We need a better game from the perimeter because good outside shooting will force the defense to push further out. If we can get them further out it will make for more lanes to the basket for Devon, Jelena and even Emily and force HPU (opr anybody really) to have to pick their poison on defense.

If you take away Avery's put backs, we have not shot the ball well, especially from the perimeter. Hoping Devon and jelena knock down some 3s Play Basketball

Devon has actually shot very well in the last 2 games and reports being 100% healthy for the first time all year. We need Jelena to get back on track.

Not sure why all would pick RU over GWB. Radford is basically limping into the tourney.

This is incorrect. MASN is not picking up any games, and the final on Sunday is at 4 p.m., not 2 p.m.

I saw this on the guide. Will double check.

Looks the semi game is on MASN at 4pm, and the final is on 2pm. Per MASN's website

http://www.masnsports.com/shows_and_pro ... -2011.html

So either the Big South has changed it or they've screwed up again...

I was on the conference call this morning when they announced the schedule. It was never scheduled to be on MASN. Last year's games were on MASN, and maybe that's why MASN has it screwed up.

The semifinals will be on Fox College Sports Atlantic and DirecTV 617.

The championship will be on those channels as well as WSET's digital 13.2 station. And the title game is definitely at 4.

Yeah, I have Channel 617 and it keeps saying "To Be Announced".

But anyways thanks for the updates Chris. I realize you've been able to correct me many times lately :D
Hopefully it will show up on 617 on the DTV guide sometime soon.

No sweat. I was curious if they had done some switching around to accomodate MASN, but they announced today what had been out on the original press releases.

Thanks to Mark Simpson from the Big South office for this, and for jbock to tipping us off that it was on MASN's program guide:

MASN will be televising the semifinal involving LU live at 4 p.m. The second semifinal will be shown on tape delay at 11 p.m.

The final will be live on MASN at 4 p.m.

I'm just glad to know I'm right for once :D

I saw the same thing you did for FCS Atlantic about a week ago and then I noticed it had been taken off of the Big South website. Then yesterday I noticed that MASN had changed their programming guide to include the semi and the final.

Radford is losing to Winthrop 26 to 21. That would be a shocker, and almost a certainty for Gardner-Webb to move to the finals.
