I'm so thankful for this sort of life advice. I didn't realize how much I've been hurting myself.
I've been around the block a couple more times than you. But you live however you want. In the long run I think you'll realize it ain't worth it and that it really isn't the least bit what is important in life. BTW - I wasn't trying to speak to anyone specifically, just the general tone of the curry haters on here. Carry on... I'm done preaching.

yeah let's keep complaining and whining about something that happened 2 years ago and maybe we can change something that happened 2 years ago...

I'm passionate about it, but this is generally my outlet for that. I spend very little of my life thinking about Seth Curry. I spend most of my life working to make my city a better place and living the gospel for the good of the city.
That is great to hear. I generally am pretty patient but I get irritated when I keep hearing the same complaints and gripes and whining over and over. Some people seem to place way too much importance on things of this world. (See any vtechhokies20 post). Thanks for clarifying. I hope others share your priorities.

I've been okay with Curry in Durham, except for last night. For the first time, I saw him do something in the game that I do not like, from any player, on any team.

Around the 5:00 mark in the second half, he attempted a 3 from the corner near the bench, with the Clemson player closing in on him. He rises up, fires, then as he is on his way down, he brings his right knee up...way up to draw contact against the defender. He shot 3 FT's.

I can understand doing the Reggie Miller thing where at least it looks like part of the shooting motion & drawing contact. But, this one was just blatant & goes against the spirit of the rule & the game.

Spoken like a true zebra!

If they call him for it, he'll stop doing it.

The real question is who will end up being hated more: Curry or David Dees?

Look "Archer".......
Its not a foul if we don't call it!! Plus, any GREAT shooter knows how to draw the contact!!

David rode off into the Cajun sunset so it is not like he ever gave many folks a reason to remember him. Seth is on ESPN more than 'Leave it to Beaver'.

But had he been doing that wearing a UNC uniform, would you have been okay with it?

2 things:
What in the world is "Leave it to Beaver?"
Why is it on ESPN?

Nolan Smith went down with a jammed toe against Maryland last night. Seth took over at the point, and I think he opened a lot of eyes. I doubt if anyone could have watched that game objectively and say that he is just a spot up shooter any more.

Curry now leads Duke in steals per game with an average of 1.5 and has 51 so far this season.

(He also leads the team in 3-point shots made.)

But I though he was just a spot up shooter? How can that be?

players are going to do what they get away with. So putting him on the line only means he will try again. How is this any different than pump faking... then leaning in... ?

I do not have any of the same sentiments as many on this board do about Curry. How can we expect him not to try and better his shot of being drafted by going to Duke. Playing against the best.

I pull for him all the time. Its like watching RJ in the NFL, I am glad they mention LU.

and please... dont give me the "its different, we compete with Duke"... not even close.

With Kyrie Irving headed for the NBA and Nolan Smith graduating, it's looking more and more like the leadership of the 2011/12 Duke basketball team is going to rest on the shoulders of Seth Curry. With Austin Rivers coming in, he may not be the go-to for points, but it seems like a great deal of the team's spirit is going to land on him.

Now we'll get to really see what Curry is made of.

Seth played a key role last night in helping K get win #903 to surpass Bobby Knight as the all-time leader in wins as a D1 MBB coach. He looks a lot stronger with the ball and has expanded his game beyond just spot-up shooting.
