It's never easy to beat Coastal, but clearly your coaching staff knows how to shut down Coastal's offense. Something nobody else has seemed to figure out.
Oh faith is there...it's just not being 'executed', as the name it claim it crowd loves to say.

I'm actually going to spend the little $$$ and watch it on Big South Sports, I guess I'll have to listen to that CCU announcer you guys love to death.

Wouldn't you expect them to have someone up there?

Look, if they don't know what's happening tomorrow, then they shouldn't come. It's like the dead weight that comes to the football games. They just come because it's "socially acceptable". They never get into the game, so what good is it if they sit there like a log?

Expect...no. That would say that I think Im entitled to hear from Coach Layer or one of the players about the game. Would I like it if that happened? Sure...but if it doesnt happen Im not gonna sit and sulk and talk about how someone "dropped the ball".

I know this is the second time I've wrote this, there's a reason.

If Jeff Barber or Danny Rocco or anyone else in athletics kicked your dog, would you compliment them on their kicking form?

Not sure how. I mean what's more intimitating? 4,000 people sitting in a seat or 1,000 screaming jumping people? Seems rather obvious. I mean, no offense to math nerds, but I know some and I certainly wouldn't want to rely on them being the 12'th man (or in this case 6'th man)

Dont know how that has anything to do with the topic TTL...but just to address your post regardless, I try to keep my grievances about LU Athletics off the board if I have any.

I was not bashing them just thought they would do something. I mean Johnny didn't even mention it when he gave announcements for everything from women's tennis to baseball And I just got the email about wearing red I like when they do that.
Still don't get why you acted like I was bashing on LU, BJ i was just making an observation.
Regardless of if they made an announcement or not I will be there.

If you have 1,000 screaming jumping people in a crowd of 4,000 others will join in, I guarantee it. I'm sure there's been a lot of reasearch done into mob mentality so just google that if you want someone else's opinion. This is just us using it in a more constuctive way then say the LA riots.

Also, it's embarrassing when we only have 1,000 people in the vines. If you went to the games around Christmas you know what I'm talking about.

I don't buy into the argument that those will join in, but I agree it's embarassing to only have 1,000 in the Vines.

Sorry jbock normally I'd let this go but...even though you don't believe in the "mob mentality" or "herd behavior" doesn't mean it isn't true. In fact its been studied by psychologist like Søren Kierkegaard, Friedrich Nietzsche, Sigmund Freud, and Carl Jung. How do LU basketball crowds manage to go against what has been shown to be a human behavior since the 6th century? (they don't)
I understand having a contrary opinion but in this case history, science, and your own personal experience (if you really thought about it) would contradict you. For example think atmosphere at Iona vs atmosphere against W&M.

Like they say you can't fix...
I mean your argument is perfectly logical, I just don't accept the premise. But either of us can be right so it doesn't matter lol.

Conference talk anyone??

I'm pretty sure there's an entire thread for the HP game where you guys could rant ad nauseum about the LU marketing efforts or crowd support psychology..
