Cory Lillard leaving is actually an indication of the strength of our program. He transfers from an ACC school, probably thinking he will make an immediate impact, and ends up riding the pine. Prospects for playing time looked even more bleak for next season. I'm not sure where you go from here in his situation. D2 or NAIA I guess, if he wants to play football.

Not too smart of me to not check roccgroh's spelling, although I'm becoming more and more convinced the whole bad grammer/spelling deal is a total act. Someone might misspell the name if they had heard it spoken, but when would that have happened? It's not like he was in the games and getting his name called regularly by York or Tilly. He would only know who he is by seeing his name in writing. If his English skills are really that bad, his misspelling would probably not be something that is actually pronounced the same as the correct spelling.

The fact that he/she finished his HS playing days in 88 suggest that the story is even less believeable. This was still a time when Prop 48 was still being worked out and people like Dexter Manley had finished college and played in the NFL, but couldn't read. So, is it easier to believe he/she played when academics were not as important and less monitored or never played much? I am going with option B.
