Purple...I dont understand how you are surprised that both teams can find fault in officials....this is possible and actually likely! If you're a bad official then you cant control when your good and when you're bad....it's just different degrees of bad! Dont come on here and give me stats either about how many calls they get right on their evaluation, because we all know who's doing the evaluating....old referees! That's the only thing worse then a current ref
I would not know what it was like to be a bad official so I will have to take your word for it!!!
I was just laughing that UNCA was complaining the bucket shouldn't have counted and the LU fans were complaining about the officiating as well.
The only problem I saw with the officiating was the OFFICIAL CLOCK. What the heck?!?! THe game would have been an hour shorter if they could get that worked out. IT is VERY distracting to an official, good or bad, when they have to keep monitoring the table.

Chene Phillips mugged Matt Dickey on one occasion, and no call. Minaya mugged Dickey again late in the game down on the baseline, and they ruled it out of bounds of Dickey's leg. Replay clearly showed Minaya got all shoulder. Gordon and Sanders both got away with push-offs in the first half, and then they turned around and called one on Primm.

One of Cunningham's blocks off the backboard (on John Brown) should have been a goaltend, but not many calls went against LU.
If you are talking about the drive at the end of regualtion, it was a great no call. Watched it several times and although MSNHD is sort of JVHD, it was a good call. The ball went down and Dickey's hand went up which is simple physics. Had the ball continued to go up then it would have signaled the arm had been struck and not the ball. But since the ball went down and the arm continued up, it means the ball was struck. Now had he not thrown his hand in the air, he MAY have gotten the call. As for the OOB, I don't think they ruled it out on Dickey but the UNCA post player standing under the basket, it sort of riccocheted off of him.
Not saying there were some calls passed on that may/should have been called, but thought it was a pretty consistently officiated game. Heck, even SCAR got a rules reference correct!!

Pair that with his calling JB "Johnny on the spot"! SCAR is one of the most entertaining announcers going.

That's who we were discussing. Yes he is still around, he actually did a baseball scrimmage on Friday at LU before a HS game. He got a loud ovation for one of his calls, and I had a big grin on my face. Just classic!
