Correct. But in the scenario stated where both Coastal and LU finished 17-1, splitting the head to head games and sweeping everyone else; all of those criteria would be equal.

2. LIBERTY
Previous rank: 2
Overall record: 14-7
Big South record: 8-1
Last week: Beat VMI 100-82
This week: Thursday vs. UNC Asheville; Saturday vs. Gardner-Webb
The skinny: Liberty didn’t have to face UNC Asheville’s D.J. Cunningham or Gardner-Webb’s Jon Moore when the Flames swept this trip back on New Year’s weekend. Both players are back from injuries. This is a huge home weekend for Liberty, which still faces three extremely tough road games (Coastal Carolina, Charleston Southern, Winthrop) on the back half of the schedule. Jeremy Anderson’s breakout game against VMI (3-for-3 from 3-point range) bodes well for Liberty, as it gives the Flames another option from the outside and defenses one more threat to worry about. I think Sommy Ogukwe will play a big role for this team down the stretch. He’s improving daily, and if he can provide 8-10 minutes of good rebounding, defense and play around the rim, that will be a huge plus for the Flames.
