It closed. Anybody know what the deal is? It couldn't get any more business, so certainly it is not out of business. It seemed like they just remodeled not to long ago so I doubt they're closed for that. Anyone? Getting rid of some critters maybe? I noticed this last week and haven't been by again so it may be open again, I don't know. But I don't like having to go all the way to Timberlake to get a burrito filled with fritos.

There's also a new Taco Bell in front of the new Kroger in Forest (route 221 South).

It may be a company-wide updating of certain building styles. Down here in Fort Myers, our closest Taco Bell closed a few weeks ago for renovations. The old building looked the same as what was on Wards Road.

Yeah, this would be a flat out tragedy.

Or a boost in profits for Hardee's and Sonic.

I am pretty sure its safe to say half of the former students on this board are happy they aren't around for this tragedy...I guess a drive over to Timberlake could happen...but I would've hated that.

I ate at that taco bell more then anywhere on campus my last 2 1/2 years at LU, haha

When the 1st Taco Bell within a 200-mile radius opened up in Madison Heights, my LU roommate started working there just so he could be around the food. Back before the Madison Hts. location opened, we used to make Taco Bell runs to DC. Seriously.

That Mad Heights Taco Bell is now Japanese food. It was a 29 bypass casualty.

Wards Rd Taco bell was probably one of my favoriete places to go other than Sheetz if I wanted to get something late.Im sad to hear that its closed (even if its only temporary). I remember quite a few nights when a group of band kids would go there to eat after a night football game.

Very sad news for us current students at LU. Me and a few guys go to Taco Bell after most of our intramural games. Good thing this will only last for a couple months though or there would be some seriously depressed (and hungry) students around campus the first week back lol

Waiting for Flame Convert to sing the praises of El Cabritos.

I'm too scared to try El Cabritos. I've thought about it many times, but always back out at the last minute. Something's just not right about it.

El Cabritos is pretty good. It has been locally owned by the same family since the early 1980's. The owner will make you feel at home. "The El" still has the same paint on the walls, same fixtures in the rest rooms(probably not a good thing) and features the old fashioned drive up window where you do not have to talk to a box.

Do they still have pictures of Tony the Taco & Billy the Bean up on the walls? I was involved in that ad campaign two decades ago. I assisted my buddy Greg's claymation commercials that were produced back at the time.

I'm pretty sure I would not have survived four years of school at LU without Taco bell, Little Ceasers, Chic-fil-a and Sheetz.

They knew you by your voice at the Wards Road one.

I got by on Taco Bello and Sheetz as well. Had meal points for the Chic-Fil-A my first semester in seminary.

Little Ceasers was always a life saver - nothing like dinner and breakfast the next day for $5.
