I'd love to see Man vs Food in Lynchburg but wow that video was annoying. Great concept, just couldn't take the guy in it. Way too over the top.

Cider Jim wrote:Yea, cole slaw on a hot dog is HUGE in WV; but the yellow relish made out of cabbage is strictly a VA dog/Texas Inn dog.A WV hot dog has coleslaw, chili (no beans of course), mustard, and onions. If you're ever traveling through WV I suggest checking out http://wvhotdogblog.blogspot.com/ and finding a place to get a true West Virginia hot dog.

Disagree.
LUconn wrote:I thought he was entertaining. Not like I was clapping over his performance but it kept my attention. Over the top, but not annoying. At least not in 2 minutes. I even cracked a grin when he pointed out that he wasn't dying (along with the text that indicates "our tomatoes won't kill you"). You guys need to lighten up. It's not like he was hosting a full length episode.he was annoying and overly enthusiastic about a cheeseburger and french fries. if he was in a commercial i would probably not buy the product he was selling because of it. kind of like jared.

Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg's looking to promote itself as a tourist destination on cable TV and it's using the Cavalier restaurant to do it.
The Travel Channel cable show Man Versus Food has a competition going. They want to showcase tourist destinations with great history and tasty food. Discover Lynchburg thought the iconic restaurant The Cavalier fit the bill.
They made a video about the Cav's food and Lynchburg's history and put it on YouTube to enter the Man versus Food competition. Employees say Lynchburg and the Cavalier should win.
"We are kind of an icon of Lynchburg, so we feel like, yeah, we deserve it, we've been here long enough," said Mel Hartsough, The Cavalier bar manager.
