If roundball is your blood, this is the place to discuss the Flames as they move into the Ritchie McKay era for the 2nd time.

I was watching the highlights after the Terps game on Comcast Sportsnet and my wife walks by and says " They're playing Liberty this weekend? Wow, they're big!" and then walked away.

Mason is in town, and it's GAMEDAY!
http://www.libertyflames.com/index.cfm? ... ewsID=6286

And Lang provides a nice article about David Minaya in today's fishwrap:
LU's Minaya works his way back into starting lineup
By Chris Lang
Published: December 11, 2010
...Later in the day, with Liberty trailing the Eagles by a point in the final minute, the Flames ran a play in which one of the options was for Minaya to flare to a spot 15 feet away from the basket on the right baseline. Minaya received the pass and calmly drained the shot, giving the Flames the lead for good.

"That was an important and great shot," Liberty coach Dale Layer said. "It’s a product of his hard work that enabled him to make that shot."

The words "Layer," "Minaya," and "hard work" wouldn’t have been caught in the same sentence last season, when Minaya worked his way so deep into the coach’s dog house that it wasn’t clear if he’d ever make it out.
And the story has a happy ending [spoiler ALERT]:
Minaya has worked on his defense, and just about every other aspect of his game.

Unlike last year, the words "hard work" and "Minaya" can co-exist harmoniously.

Said Layer: "At the end of every day, your work is revealed. The way he is playing is a direct by-product of how hard he has worked. … I’ve not given him more playing time. He’s earned more. It’s helping our team in a great way."

The George Mason fans are aware that's there's a game, and it sounds like they are coming out in droves: something about they have never seen college-age virgins before.

Time for one of my favorite times of every home basketball game: listening to everyone practice/mess up on the intro.

Theres really very few of them here. I expected more of them since they're fairly close and have been relatively successful.

We have been waiting all day to watch this game on MASN. The FCS playoff game between NDSU and Eastern Washington is tied at 31 with 20 seconds to go. I will miss the first 10 minutes if it goes to OT.

I know there was a contest or something tonight to get your dorm involved, but some dorm decided to wear all black. They're being loud and are into it but they look terrible.
