As of today, Johnson has 3 official offers from Navy, Liberty, and Wingate.

Share Panther Creek defensive back and wide receiver Isaiah Johnson picked up an offer this week from Norfolk State, Catamount head coach Wayne Bragg confirmed Thursday.

"They came and watched us play the other day," Bragg said. "They came to the school this morning and offered him."

Norfolk State is the third offer on the table for Johnson, according to Bragg. Navy and Wingate have also offered the senior.

"There are quite a bit more interested, so I'm hoping more will come soon," Bragg said.

Johnson is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound senior at Panther Creek. He is a two-star athlete according to Rivals.com.

This season, Johnson has recorded 20 solo tackles, 16 assisted tackles, seven interceptions and one fumble recovery in 14 games this season. On offense, he has caught 42 passes for 637 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Panther Creek was the co-conference champion in the Tri-Nine 4-A Conference this season, and sitting at 13-1, the Catamounts will play at Wake Forest-Rolesville on Friday night in the 4-AA Eastern Regional Final. The winner of the game will play for the 4-AA state championship on Dec. 11.

Panther Creek's Johnson offered by Western Carolina

Panther Creek defensive back Isaiah Johnson received another offer over the weekend.

The senior picked up an offer from Western Carolina, joining quarterback Kameron Bryant as the second Catamount player to pick up a Western Carolina offer in the last two weeks.

Navy, Wingate and Norfolk State have also offered Johnson.

Johnson is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound senior at Panther Creek. He is a two-star athlete according to Rivals.com.

I've done a couple of Panther Creek games this year and boy is Johnson fast. I did his game last week against WFR. He's a got one of the best coaches (Wayne Bragg) coaching him. I think he would be a good fit a Liberty. He led them with 11 TD's this year at WR and had 7 INT's on D and returned 2 of those for a TD. Their QB Kameron Bryant has been offered by App.St and Western Carolina.

Panther Creek High School defensive back and wide receiver Isaiah Johnson committed to Western Carolina on Wednesday.

Johnson said he went on an official visit to Western Carolina on Jan. 21, and came away impressed.

"I really bought into what the coaches have been saying and just really liked being around the players," Johnson said. "I also really admired the atmosphere and the new facilities they're building."

On defense, Johnson recorded 36 tackles, seven interceptions and one fumble recovery. He also recorded 637 yards on 42 catches, scoring 11 touchdowns.
