If someone told me that we would loose to TT by 8 I normally would be excited with that result. However after watching the first half (and ending it up 4) I have to admit I was disappointed that we couldn't come up with the big win. That being said we have reason to be excited about our team this year.

Check back about 9pm Tuesday. Probably should have been at UNC Wilmington but we were/are still getting comfortable with each other. Relax this team will only get better!

BSC will be crazy tough this year. After watching the early part of games, there maybe only 2 weak teams. Radford and GW, but GW beat Charlotte... crazy tough.

Watched some of game yesterday, no offense to LU, but Texas Tech looked bad early on. Wouldn't be surprised if they didn't win a Big 12 game.

But let me tell you that this was a VERY impressive performance. Tech will be a top half of the Big XII team in all likelihood this season. For us to play as well as we did in Lubbock has me extremely excited for the squad's potential in the coming weeks.

I agree that TTU looked sloppy in the first half bigsouthking.

However, unless their coach, their entire fan base, and most of the pundits who predict such things in the Big 12 are totally delusional, they are expected to be pretty good this year.

As you know, Sly is closer to that situation than most of us, so for now (and also because I'm a grade A certified Koolaid-drinking homer) I'll go with his assessment.

This year in the Big XII, there are a handful of elite teams and a slew of teams who have the potential to be elite. Tech is in the second category. Yes, the Red Raiders apparently were sloppy against the Flames. Perhaps the same excuse could be used for LU at UND & UNCW.

I'm really anxious to see if the confidence boost in Lubbock pays dividends in Tampa.

apparently you don't know much about the Big 12 Nebraska as usually will be one of the top contenders to finish last in the Big 12 so I'm fairly confident TT will have at least 1 W in conference play. TT didn't have there best game but they are hardly a Big 12 bottom dweller

Yes I think that was apparent, but all I was pointing out is that TT is at least an average Big 12 team (BSK was acting like TT was some garbage team in the Big 12). TT didn't play there best game, due in part to the opponent which is usually the case.

I just said Tech looked bad early on... I watched first 10mins and they had like 12 traveling calls. Flames should be encouraged by performance but they also probably feel like they let one get away. that was a winnable game. Oldflame thought they were sloppy also.
I maybe wrong about Tech not winning a game, but the Big 12 has 4 potential final 4 teams. KU, K-state, baylor, mizzou
