because the huge a logo looks ridiculous...that is my reasoning anyways

+1 Do this and I am all for the white helmets on occasion. If you are going to change things, then go ahead and CHANGE them.

I saw them coming out and my first thought was "man those look sharp". It doesn make one wonder what is going to come of the red uniforms because they were our alternates the last few years

anyone have a picture of the full uniforms?

My hopes are way too high for tomorrow morning.

But in all honesty, if I really think about it, if we make it in tomorrow, I will almost be happier with that than winning the AQ from the big south, because it just would show how far our program has come in the past few years, especially since last year we were so disappointed that it was our last time to prove we were a playoff caliber team without being given the spot. I dont know, just my take, and it could all be moot in a few hours if we dont get chosen.

Let's not forger about Bevins getting his mojo back to end the season. The 50 yarder was great!

And how about his EIGHTEEN POINTS!

Talk about a bad day for Stony Brook...

1. They came into the Bill undefeated in conference.
2. Once we hit 42 points, they lost their playoff bid to Coastal (whom they beat).
3. They ended up losing to us 54-28.

I was hoping Stony Brook would call a timeout so Rocco would send Kelly on a fade route to the corner of the endzone for another score. 8)

Did anyone else think Asa looked thinner wearing black?

Lastly, from the Big South board:
The Chanticleers finished the six-game Big South schedule with 109 points allowed, ahead of Stony Brook (122) and Liberty (138).

When he hit that, it seemed as though the complexion of the game changed.

The team really played with heart after the first few minutes in the third. You could tell that they really wanted the game. Brown played as if he was a man on a mission and the SB defense couldn't contain the multiple threats we seemed to have- something that I haven't seen at any home game to date.

I think the 50 yard FG gave us momentum, but as I said before, the 79 yard TD from Brown to Kelly was I think the backbreaker against SB. Its like that play sucked any remaining life that was on that bench right out

I am sorry for the confusion. I did not mean to accuse Bevins of forgery. He seems like a really nice guy who wouldn't break laws like that.

Can you share why it was changed? Is it to keep with the branding policy?

I want to thank the outgoing senior class who gave Liberty University so much! The soul of this senior class can be summarized by one players fortitude tonight. Senior center Matt Camire left with a leg injury before halftime. He was helped off the field by the training staff and was taken straight back to the locker room instead of the sideline. He was replaced by sophomore Aaron Lundy. I thought for sure that might have been the last play of Camire's career.

Early in the second half, I noticed Lundy standing on the sideline when LU had the ball. I asked out loud who was in for him playing center? Low and behold, Matt Camire was back out there and finished the game. He finished what he started and it epitomized everything what this class went through the past four years. As a fan of this team, I'm very thankful and grateful for the work put in by this senior class. Thank you! :clapping :clapping :clapping

The performance tonight was nothing short of amazing. What a performance for Mike, Pat, Bevins, and company. I thought the D was teriffic. It was nice to see us step up in a big game and win. It was a huge game at home and it was one of the most entertaining games I've seen in a long time. I'll take my playoff talk to the other thread. But OH WOW, what a night in the BILL. It's great to be a Flame!

And yes, we can stop the anti coach talk.

im done bashing after tonight. absolutely impressive all around. i literally loved every single part of tonight except seeing a player or 2 get minor bumps or bruises. As far as I know there was nothing serious. But then again im all the way in stupid richmond so i wouldn't know anything.

I agree! I say if we get in the playoffs we don't switch uni's we should keep the black and whites! I love them!

The D played great tonight. Stuffed SB on most of their rushing attempts. The offense looked good and the play selection kept SB off balance. Pat Kelly had a great game and looks like we have two weapons for the future. The running game was agood mixture of Mike and SirC.

Also the weather was great. 65 and sunny on Nov 20. Told me that at the start of the season and i would have laughed. The home side really picked up their efforts to cheer on the team. Good night all around

give me the white helmets with the full sized logo and make it red with the stripes on the top and that is a nice looking helmet.

Offense was almost perfect other than BJ's passes that he turned into INT's and the false start for the 2nd week in a row on the goaline. considering no Summers and Garner that was a flat out dominant performance from the offense. The defense played well with the exception of the first two drives of the second half. Terry Adams had a nice day on big #69, seemed like he was in the backfield every time you turned around. That last INT from Bolt...all i can say is wow. That was a very athletic return and his ability to maintain his balance as well. It was a shame to see him injure his leg and not get to celebrate it.

we held the 8th ranked rushing team in FCS to 49 yards so give the D some credit. i had told the people i was sitting with before the game that pat kelly was gonna have a breakout game and it was so true. just a great game offensively. mike brown is a warrior!! thanks to that small group of students who stayed because they were loud! hoping for a playoff game next week!

Can't give enough props to the D. The blown coverages weren't a pattern, they were an exception to the rule. The run defense and pressure on the QB was INTENSE. Terry Adams and Asa Chapman were unblockable at times. O'Donnell had an incredible game. Chris Mayo had a couple of huge plays, one where he kept a WR in front of him on 3rd and 8 and made the tackle short of the first (over the middle, where we've had so many problems), and he also made the stop on 4th down, I believe.
