It's not crazy, there are/were legit concerns. Today, those concerns were dealt with. If this is how LU is going to be run, then there's no problems. Strong D, offense that focuses on our best players, and total effort to put a team away. Rocco/Clark and Streeter called a great game today, especially the 2nd half.

Ridiculous numbers by Brown, Kelly, and Bevins. Congrats to all them.

great game from the guys... dont know if it will be enough to put us in the playoffs but great to see the guys step up and show that they are able to play at a high level.... my hopes aren't high but i can still hope that we somehow get a at large into the playoffs

Brown and Kelly what more can you say with those eye popping numbers that they put up. Now it is in the hands of the playoff committee to see if we made enough of a statement to squeke in the playoffs. After this performance we deserve to be there.

Great effort by the guys and coaches today. We just need to get rid of that one game a year where we suck. Kinda hollow Conference Championship with a three way tie, but none the less, we kicked some serious butt tonight.
BTW, Mike Brown is one of the best/smartest players I have ever seen in 1AA football.

we aren't making it...we all said it all year the big south is not a 2 bid league we can't just change our minds to fit what we want...

I'll stab your heart out for you HA! It is really quite simple: Who have we beaten? Ball State is a nice win no doubt about it but what about Coastal? Nope. JMU? Nope. Even Robert Morris? Nope. Having a resume where you say "Yeah, but look who we LOST to." doesnt really do a lot. Since there is a 3 way tie, why not invite all 3 teams? While we beat SB head to head, CC LOST to them but BEAT US. In a confusing situation like that, a committee will most likely go with the easiest solution: 1 Big South Team. And finally, if we couldn't get an at large bid BEFORE automatic qualification, then why would we get one now?

Expanded playoffs really cut down the field of at large teams with the magic 7 wins. There aren't that many teams that have 7 this year that are currently hoping for an at large like us.

I couldn't watch because of the feed and then the fact that there was an event going on in my only place to watch, but from what I heard from friends at the game, it sounded like we went completely spread and played like a spread team on offense. I love that. I absolutely love that. I hope we stick with it next year.

I've known Pat Kelly had it in him to be a good player, but I never expected the type of day he had today. Holy crap. Put him and Summers out there next year and we have a heck of a duo.

Glad we won. Glad we played well, especially on offense. Glad we got a share of the title.

Hopefully we go into the offseason with a chip on our shoulder and make this the "blip" on our championship run that we start on next year. Hopefully.

No matter what happens tomorrow with the committee this was a heck of a game and a heck of a win! It does seem like we always are one loss away from something big--at least thats the way its been since I've been at Liberty. Sooner or later though we will put it together and get in, its just a matter of time--whether its tomorrow, or next year, or the year after. If we keep knocking at the door its eventually going to open, its just tough to have to go through a whole season, have so many great plays, great games, and have something thing hold us back, but thats football, sometimes you get the breaks and sometimes you don't. Liberty continues to have a solid team though and the future continues to look bright, now if we could just have a better strength of schedule, especially for our home games!
