Going to be an interesting game without summers... Means they have more folks to try and shut down Mike Brown. Def need Kelly, DeArmon, Hayes, SirChauncey to step way up. Im not so much worried about points as I am getting this W. after that we'll just have to see how things play out.

I can't picture them having Brennan at QB and Mike at WR the whole game or even the majority of the snaps, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if we do it more than we have been.

Roger, I was thinking the same thing. I wouldn't be surprised to see Brennan at QB for the majority of the game to have Brown compensate for the Summers injury. I'd expect to see Eden out there too, and a good bit of Barnett - maybe not with a lot of carries, but being utilized in the short passing game.

Honestly after reading some of Rocco's comments I think this will all depend on how the game developes and what happens with CCU and CSU. If we are scoring easily through the first half with Mike as QB (the majority of the time) no reason to change. If we are struggling at half and CCU wins I expect that we could see some things we haven't seen all year.

Y'know, I can almost see Mike Brown going to Rocco and requesting that he be put in at WR and Tyler in at QB. We've been saying "Get the best players on the field" and that could be something MB is thinking about with his favorite target out of the game.

Not playing devils advocate but can you blame them? The school is saying "Please stay one extra day of a week break from your family and friends for the game because the football team has controlled their playoff destiny that last two years and shot themselves in the foot by losing therefore creating 15 different scenarios we need to make the playoffs".

So Rocco was on the radio again this morning....talked about the SB game and what would be necessary to get the auto bid. Also mentioned that there is still a possiblity that we get an at large bid but that's something he hasn't ever talked about this year because it's out of his control.

Also mentioned that the first goal every year is to win our conference and since we are in the big south our #1 goal will be to win the big south for as long as we are there (member of the big south)

Oh yeah, there is in fact actually a game today at 3:30pm. Some of you students who went home can find the game on television at any number of sources but primarily on MASN as well as AT&T Uverse & Verizon FiOS through FamilyNet.

So I have not been around much this week...but if LU wins this game is it guaranteed they win the Big South? What is the first tie breaker in a 3-way tie? I apologize if this has been talked about already..just curious

It has been talked about ad nauseum but a reset is certainly a good idea. If we win today, we capture a share of the Big South title. An LU victory combined with a CCU win over CSU would result in a 3-way tie where the likely deciding factor in who would snatch the auto bid would be based on conference points allowed .... a category that would be tough for LU to win based on last week's disaster. An LU victory combined with a CSU upset of CCU would result in a 2-way tie between the Flames & Seawolves with LU having the tiebreaker of the head-to-head victory. The latter is the most likely path for the Flames to earn the auto bid.

There remains an outside shot that if we were to win today that even without earning the auto bid, we could possibly have done enough to capture the last at-large ... remember that there are more at-larges this year than in years past.

Bottom line, we need to win today and cheer on the Bucs. And if we could manage a blowout victory while holding SBU to single digits it would be even better. Personally I'd just be thrilled with a win of any sort today.
