Is that the first tiebreak? A 116 point deficit is pretty much insurmountable.

its off of total points. so basically you have to beat him by 130 pts to get into the playoffs.

basically I have to have a week like last week and then hope that he benches everybody...

(Sidenote I was in a league with some friends and one of them was winless about midway through the season and I was rolling the league, I told him that if he was winless going into the last week of the season and I had clinched a playoff spot by then, Id bench my entire team and let him win...I clinched a spot the next to last week of the season and so I benched everybody and scored zero points and he won...)

This weeks not even over. And the other league has another week in the regular season.

Something we threw around at the beginning of the season was the top four teams from each league would next year then form the A league, with the bottom halves making up the B league. Is that something we'd still look at?

Actually, my league, week 14 is part of the regular season, but there's no games scheduled. Should I just start playoffs next week and make it the two week format that it typically is? (right now, each playoff round is 1 week, typically they are 2 weeks long)

Yes, but do we want only an 8 team league? or 10? or 12? Take the top 4, 5, or 6 teams from each league and make them the A league.

Each year after next, whoever wins the B league is able to jump up and replace the last place team from the A league.

It will probably depend on interest next year. If we can fill up two leagues, this year's results will most likely come into the discussion of how to separate 18-20 players.

I'm a huge fan of the Promotion system though. And to add to mansons thought - If we get to 10-12 teams each at least 2 slots should be set for Promotion/Relegation. Maybe both Finalists move up? Maybe the Champ and player with most points move up? All details that will probably be hashed out next year when we can gauge interest.

one thing I thought of with the promotion system is just every year, top four teams from each league form the A league the next year and, top four in that also get the option of having a team in the B league, but I dont know how many people would want two teams in essentially the same thing.

But hopefully next year we could get up 20 people interested, just so we could have 10 team leagues. But then would it just be the top 5 players from each league?

Anybody ascertained what tonight's results did to the final standings? I can't remember playing in a league with more parity. Wish I would have thought to check my roster the few weeks I was overseas with Arian Foster & Andre Johnson on the bench following the Texans bye week. That killed my season.
