Checking their stats from recent weeks you can see how well MacDowell is distributing the ball amongst his receivers & backs. They really have three quality guys outside catching the ball (it was tough to choose who was their primary receiver ... another guy had 2 TD catches yesterday).

Anyone who has been around the program for much of any time knows how difficult it is to win down at Brooks Stadium. Our games there nearly always go down to the wire. I would expect nothing different this Saturday.

Big time matchup! Hopefully we put together a total and complete game next week. If we do, I don't think this game will be very close. It certainly will enable us to make a statement. Come on Liberty! Beat Coastal!

This is gonna be a good game...the last two games between LU and Coastal in Myrtle Beach (yeah I know its officially in Conway) have been decided by a total of <7 points and I expect more of the same. If LU wins this one by two TDs or more I will certainly be shocked

JC: I have to disagree. We played good this past weekend against a bad VMI team. I need more than that to say we are playing good.

Any of you guys coming to the game?

I am flying in tomorrow. If any of you guys play golf, lemme know. I am possibly looking for a game this Thurs. depending on how I feel after playing Wednesday with a pinched nerve. Shoot me an email: Chanticleers@gmail.com

Thanks Chris. Great quote from Rocco:
No matter who we would be playing this week, I’d like to think this group would be highly energized and highly motivated. We’re in a position right now where we’re sitting on the cusp of being in the top 10 in the country. We’re in a position right now where we’re fighting for the conference championship, and the first-ever four-peat. And we’re in a position where we have an opportunity to control our future in terms of getting into the postseason for the first time in school history. So regardless of who was on the schedule this week, I’d like to think my team would be highly motivated and energized. Now they are. And it’s Coastal. So whether that’s because it’s Coastal or because of the reasons I just mentioned, I’m not sure. But I do like where our kids are in terms of understanding the significance of this football game.

Competing is three people and I'm not convinced that two of them aren't the same person.

Everyone I've seen do the #BeatLiberty stuff is on staff at Coastal. I haven't seen many, if any, just regular fans do it.

So I'm pretty nervous about this one. We have some pretty similar scores against the same opponents, with Coastal beating Presby by much more than we did...Anyone have any info or facts/stats that will give me some encouragement? :|

This argument never holds any water. You cannot simply compare two teams by how they have competed versus the same opponents. It's like saying we could play VT to a 2 point game because they only lost to JMU by 5, and we lost to JMU by 7. Doesn't work that way. You should be concerned because we always are in a battle with Coastal when we play at their place. As far as encouragement, that's TTL's job to be Mr. Optimistic.
