Sly would do it if he was here.

I'm doing it since he's not.

Glad we won. Doesn't have to be pretty at all. This team is showing they can continue to this and that is a great sign.

Correct the mistakes and it's a blowout. We gave up TD's on 2 short fields after turnovers and one on a totally ridiculous broken play, and that's it.

Defense played well, especially in pass coverage.

Running game (Mike/Chauncey) was very solid.

Passing game was okay at times, and poor at others.

I don't really care what happens as long as we win. That's what we did today. Do it 3 more times and we're playing after turkey day.

Great to see Chauncey run so well. I wish we'd forget this platoon at RB and just go with him for the rest of the season as our main guy. Also Gagliardi is a stud.

Seriously.

I think the RB depth chart should be.

1. Chauncey
2. Chauncey
3. Peter/Chase depending on the situation
4. Chauncey
5. Irwin Coleman if it's a blowout.

Korrey Davis is playing like he doesn't want to fight for reps. I'm not sure what the coaches can do about that.

He does have turf toe. He looked better at the beginning of the year than he does now.

That said, he's not good enough to give 8 carries to. He did make a nice play in space on the swing pass late in the game tho.

watching davis this year I'm just not sure what his strength is. he's not really big enough to be a power back and he's not fast enough to get outside. I think maybe that's part of the problem is that without knowing his strengths it's hard to design plays that make him effective. Chauncey really runs well once he gets in space both cut wise and running thru and finishing plays. He has def. looked like the better back. I hope it's the turf toe that's making davis look like this and i know the line isn't getting much of a push but from what everyone was saying I was expecting more from him this year.

Good hard fought game today. Giving up that 34 second drive at the end of the half was a big momentum swing in favor of LU - better team won today but I feel we are improving. I was proud of how we came out but just couldn't get the D off the field in the second half. Take care of business and represent the BS well in the playoffs....

Highlights on the day: Brown's running ability. Chauncey's running ability. Matt Bevins. I think we can say, he's back!

Lang's article in the fishwrap hasn't made the online version yet, so all I can give you is the one from LibertyFlames.com:
Second-Half Effort Pushes LU over Blue Hose
No. 16/12 Liberty overcame two first half turnovers and a tied halftime score by scoring on its first three drives of the second half, propelling it to a 34-24 victory over Presbyterian College, Saturday afternoon, inside of Bailey Memorial Stadium.

With the win, Liberty moves to 6-2 on the season and 3-0 in Big South play, following its fourth-straight win. The loss drops Presbyterian College to 1-7 on the year and 1-3 in conference action.

I missed the game due to some work. The only thing that really jumps out is that we dominated the total yards but only win by 10 points. You would think that we would have won by 30 or 40 with that kind of domination in total yards. It does look like penalties and turnovers hurt us. But at least we get the win and I am sure we will play better the next game. I hope to be down for the Stony Brook game in a few weeks if things work out for me to go along with my bro.

We dominated them at both ends. It was absolutely the turnovers that made the score "respectable". Presby didn't drive for a TD all day. Their first 2 they only went 24 and 26 yards following turnovers and the last one was the 70 yard run by the QB, which was pretty much a fluke.

Mike Brown has been an amazing playmaker, but he is going to need to cut out the turnovers for this to be a championship season.

Ugly game. We've got to find a bruiser to go with our stable of small, quick backs. Chauncey is starting to turn it up a little bit but it still would be nice to have a guy like AA to go with him.

i hate not seeing the game and having to rely on the radio broadcast but i thought we played pretty well. the turnovers gave presby short fields to work with and to their credit they took advantage. sir chauncey has solidified himself as our top back, and despite the trunovers mike brown continues to carry this team. the march to the BSC title continues...GO FLAMES!

Looking at who we are going after we have a couple kids who could very well fit the bill TD (youre not gonna find many Brandon Jacobs/Ahmad Bradshaw size backs at this level) especially after some time in Kill Bill's program

Ahmad Bradshaw is not a big back BJ.

I think we have a couple of guys who can be that short-yardage runner in Gagliardi and Bah. We just need to give one of them a shot. It's not like they need to learn the whole offense from tailback. Just a few power run plays.

That fullback play to gagliardi was very effective 3 times against CSU for 10-15 yards each time and then we have went away from it the last 2 weeks. I've thought all year long that those guys are the answer to the short yardage. However, we did manage to punch 3 runs in from 1 yard out...those are situations we have struggled to do so earlier this year.

I'm not a coach, and I don't play one on TV, but I'd love to see this.

I do think the O line is getting much better at opening up better holes as the season goes on. We still have a lot of teams stacking the box on us. I just have yet to see a great first step from Davis. He can be good, we just haven't seen it yet. I love the idea of the big guys basing the line up the middle here and there. I do thing Chauncey is the best back we have right now, but I like how Rocco spreads the ball to keep the little guy from getting too beat up. I will say that Chauncey is one of the biggest little guys I've seen. He's thick.
