They don't have to use any particular poll (they go off of "resume"), but the predictor used is the GPI, which is a bunch of computers, TSN, Coaches, and AGS I believe.

Liberty is ranked as follows
CS- 16
TSN -19
FCS coaches- 21
AGS- 16

What say do it like the Olympics - Drop the high and low and take the average of the remaining scores.
LU- 17.5

I love seeing us move up, but polls don't matter for us. If we lose again, we won't make the playoffs regardless of ranking. If we don't lose again, we make the playoffs regardless of ranking.

the polls do matter because it shows the respect or lack thereof that the program gets. It always will be valuable come playoff time (if we make it). We certainly need to win every game, I'm not saying that but they do have value.

Also just read in lang's "scouting the opponent" section in the newspaper that Richmond's QB Aaron Corp (USC transfer) is out for the season. You can kiss them goodbye at 2-3 for competing. The 2 games i have seen them (1 in person at UVA) he was the only great player they had on offense.

This happening would be a very successful season in my book
This scenario would represent what we have been trying to achieve in football since we moved up to (then) 1-AA in the 90's. It would be a huge success, and anyone who says differently is being unrealistic.

So, Medic, how many of us can you put up in your crib for the 'Nova game?

A revenge game would be awesome but for the same reasons why we won't see JMU in the opening round stands here, we're not going to get a rematch if at all possible.

We're not getting a rematch if we make the playoffs.

The guy that does that is usually wrong on the details.

His past three weeks guesses have us bouncing all over the place from hosting 1st round then to Appy. Next week hosting and going to 'Nova 2nd round. right now it is all guess work until we get a few more weeks into the conference schedules.
