What I was thinking about last night is if you look at the "thrown to attempts" to completions I bet it's around 80% if not higher....I'd keep trying to go that way until it's at least 50/50

I remember when he got here he was so hyped up and was just so disappointing. I knew he'd eventually be at least serviceable but I didn't think he'd be able to live up to what we expected out of him before he even played a down. Boy was I wrong. He doesn't just rely on his physical superiority either. He seems to do everything well, and be physically superior to whoever's defending him.

One of the major upsides to our receiving corps is we have a couple big weapons even if teams were able to match up man for man with Summers...Pat Kelly has really come on this year as a second option and is the one that jumps out in my mind

I don't think we throw it to him enough to make other teams double him. We probably look his way 10-12 times a game. That's not enough for a receiver his caliber.

No it hasn't. Simpson was a guy who didn't have a great work ethic and didn't know how to run routes in college. He was just more of an athlete than everyone else. His bust may have hurt the chances of getting drafted 2nd round but not of getting drafted.

With the fantastic start he has had this year, Chris certainly has an opportunity to rewrite a lot of the single season records. As far as carreer stats are concerned, I think it's a bit premature to predict him shattering any records. First of all, he didn't get off to a very good start as a Redshirt Freshman, and while he showed flashes last year, his season numbers weren't that great. Opponents are just now starting to double team him more frequently, and of course there is no guarantee he will stay healthy, so maintaining the pace he has set in the first 5 games this year could be a challenge. As far as pro prospects are concerned, I have to say he is the best we have had since Kelvin Edwards and Freddie Banks.

Probably.................... and I certainly hope so. The only other variable is if opponents really start focusing on him with double teams on every play. I think he can still get his share, but if other receivers are left open, Mike may not go to him as often.
