Not so much for me. Defensive battles are lots of fun because one big play might be the LONE big play so you are on the edge of your seat the whole time. Love defensive football. Just hate when my team comes up short - like tonight.

I think it was more tense for us because we were the underdog with thoughts and dreams of winning. For JMU, they're the favorite with the lead and we never got close near the end.

Not so much for me. Defensive battles are lots of fun because one big play might be the LONE big play so you are on the edge of your seat the whole time. Love defensive football. Just hate when my team comes up short - like tonight.

I don't mind defensive battles but there still needs to be some scoring. a 17-7 game in my mind is stil a defensive battle.

This one is 100% on the offense...I don't care what style of game it is if you hold the number 3 team in the county to 10 points you have to find a way to put 11 on the board. You can't ask any more from the D despite anything that TTL might say

We did show a lot of guts and heart, and the defense, while it was the reason we lost on the scoreboard, really did all it could. A couple broken plays were the difference, but the offense should be able to overcome that (and it didn't). The defense eventually just got beaten up and couldn't stop them the last drive, and that was it.

No its all on the offense in my book (and yes that's all that matters). The facts are the offense put up 3 pts and you will never win when you score 3 pts. The D played outstanding holding the number 3 team in the county to 10.

That is correct and man do the phrase "adjustments need to be made" keep being thrown around, and man do we need an overhaul on offense if I ever saw one. I hate to be the cynic here but it is the truth and I hope all our boys on the O can get it together and our D can keep it together and bring even more so. I am just really upset about this loss because I think we could have really come out in front and shut these whiny CAA idiots how their conference team's $#*& don't stink. Well lets keep grinding away LU and this season by the horns and take ownership like we should. just frustrating when the offense keeps stalling!

If we would have going 3-0 and we lost to JMU and were still struggling offensively I would still be just as upset. I have to say though that we didn't do too bad defending the Pistol formation and we did pretty decent defensively against that zone read-option read offense they were running but moral victories are never prosperous.

heck either way you really want to rely on holding a team to 3 pts to win? I don't mind you dogging on the D last week but if you want to be negative at least toss the blame where it is due and this week it without a doubt goes on the offense.

these last two weeks have been such a dissappointment. good thing we wont be ranked again for a while. Wins against big south teams wont quite cut it, no matter how great we think our football team is, winning the rest of our schedule doesnt make us a top 25 team
