Aren't TE's usually picked up by a LB? Besides, I'll take Summers against any 6' or 6'2" db they can throw at him. Height doesn't equal athleticism, speed, and or good decision making.

They need to did their hands in glue first.

Tommy Shaver can't catch at all this year. Hopefully that gets worked out, because he is a big target.

And I have no doubt Chris will be able to do what he needs to go this weekend. Regardless of who's covering him and how tall they are.

Yeah im hoping that they could get those problems worked out this week cuz next week we need all our options. He didn't have butterhands like this last year so it must be mental.

Agreed...as for the TE/LB matchup if we can get Mr Shaver's catching problems worked out that would make him a very good option because RMU's LBs go (based on alphabetical order): 6'1" 6'1" 6'1" 6'0" 5'11" 6'2" 5'11" 6'0" 6'2" 6'1" 6'3" 6'1" 6'1" 6'0" 6'1" 6'0" 6'1" 6'2" and he would probably win a 50-50 against pretty muc all of them

Apon was a WR all throughout HS, and when he was redshirted last year, he was a WR. He definitely has the best hands (by far) out of any of the TE's on the team. Only reason he isn't getting the PT that he would like is because of his lack of weight (which is at 245 - up from 205 from last year - all muscle) and his transition into trying to block better. Shaver and Wrede are definitely better of the TE's in the blocking column, but as TTL said, Shaver needs to get his hands in check, or we may very well see a R-FR in Apon getting a lot of playing time, which wouldn't be too bad at all!

Are you kidding me? Is there only 1 hotel in town? Why would there be no communication between the two schools about who's staying where?

Not positive but just got on an elevator with three guys wearing Robert Morris gear. Our RMU fans can fill us in.

Alumni watch at the game: Seth Reichart '05?, Nick Hursky '09, Sean Boyle? '05 and former Asst. Coach, Bernard Clark (The Tiger ~ Miami 'late 80's) and Frank Sr. and Mrs. Rocco. Seth is doing the devotional this morning. I was told that Nick and Sean might try to make it. Coach Clark coached the Flames from 2000-2003 and is currently an Asst. Coach at PITT (it's their bye week). He visited the Flames yesterday and I believe he may have been Coach Manny Rojas' position coach? (I'll have to double check on that). If you ever have the pleasure of meeting Frank Sr. and his wife you'll understand why the Rocco's are very special people, they are a gem of a couple. This is one game I really wish I could've gone to.
