I wanted to mention and forgot in my previous post that the quality of the broadcast that Ball State produces is really pretty good. So if you want to watch the game I would suggest signing up at BallStateSports.com and pay the $10.
Also look at channelsurfing.net as last week the Ball State SEMO game was picked up from the BSU feed and you could have watched it for free.
Enjoy the game it should be a "barn burner" as we like to say in the Midwest!

Just wanted to add that I have never been to Liberty U. but can tell you Taylor University is a special place with an exceptional student body and faculty.

Nothing wrong with having a "shameless blog" in support of your team - I would expect nothing less and YOUR team wouldn't either.
These guys represent your University and I assume they do it in a manner all fans and alum are proud of so your support and that of your Blog - they deserve - to do otherwise would be "Shameful".

It has got to be a little embarrassing for the News and Advance when you have to go to the Nelson County Times site to get Lang's latest write-up:

MUNCIE, Ind. — Most times the pre-game chatter for an FCS school going on the road to play an FBS program goes something like this.

“We’re happy to have an opportunity to play against an FBS team. Our kids want to be tested against the best. We want to compete and give positive exposure to our university.”

There wasn’t a whole lot of talk like that emanating from Liberty’s camp this week as the Flames prepared for their game at MAC foe Ball State. Kickoff at Scheumann Stadium tonight is at 7.

“We’re treating it just like a regular game,” Liberty adjuster Brent Vinson said. “They’re on our schedule. We’re going to line up and beat them like we plan on beating everybody else on our schedule.”

I have to say from the Ball State perspective most fans with their heads on straight focus one game at a time and realize in this day and age with scholarship limits being in place for over a decade now - you should never over look an opponent - especially a good one like Liberty U.

Typical of many Ball State fans and those of the Mid American Conference there is a strong dislike of the Big 10. Unfortunately many folks would rather see a win over in state rival Purdue than success in the MAC. I feel if we play well we can beat Purdue on their home field just like fellow MAC foe Northern Illinois did last - the following week at Iowa - well that would be a huge upset for the Cardinals.

The only game that matters now is Liberty University and it was not considered a "cupcake" when scheduled like some folks like to espouse. It was recognition that we have a young team, that SEMO would be a good opener and then a much more challenging game against Liberty would be appropriate prior to hitting the road fro games at Purdue, Iowa and defending MAC Champion Central Michigan.

Like I said before Liberty should be a very tough opponent and we will need to play well if we have any hope of winning. I also restate that the Flames have the respect and full attention of our coaching staff and players. It should be a good one and if I were you I would spend the $10 to get the Ball State video feed in case channelsurfing.net does not pick up the feed which can be hit or miss. Ten bucks is nothing more than what you would pay for a medium pizza and you would be real upset to have missed this game especially if "your boys" can get the win!!!!

I just turned down two tickets to the UT/Oregon game to watch this tonight. I either love Liberty or I'm an idiot. One or the other.
