My favorite: "What time is early to get here to get a spot?"

"Early....like 20 minutes before 7:40."

or even 5 hours and 33 minutes before 12:53

That was awesome. Everybody that got interviewed basically said the same thing: "This is how I'm doing things. Now you cater to my needs". Some people have jobs and only have 30 minutes to get to class!!!! Instead of them getting a different shift or signing up for a different class, LU should drop a few mill on a parking garage.

Some of those kids sound like they'd be better served checking out DeVry or National College. They're a lot more convenient.

On a side note, I've always said here I'm in support of a parking garage, but only at the demolition of all current main campus parking lots. Aesthetics are more important than whiny commuters.

a) That was a terrible video.

b) That dude can't enunciate.

c) If that chick didn't go to Panera before class, maybe she'd have more time to find a parking spot.

d) The whole premise was stupid.

e) Read d again.

Not only that, it was a grossly slanted video...I mean he didnt even show (or probably talk to) anybody FROM the school...all it was was some rant piece.

I never had any sympathy for students coming late to my 7:40 class carrying a bag from Hardees or Sonic. And I once got the excuse, "I was late because I live off campus!" To which I responded, "Do you think I live in the dorm?"

That part is easier said than done. What if another shift isn't available? Or the class is a senior-level class that's only offered at one time?

You mean jobs don't exist at your convenience and the state's largest private school would schedule a class without consulting you first? Huh. Welcome to life.

I worked 3 jobs (50ish hrs a wk) and took 18 credits both semesters my senior year. And I was never late. If you want it bad enough you can make it work.

PS…I advise waiting to graduate before you get married to avoid situations like the one above

I agree with your last statement...but...I got married the summer before my senior year..worked 40-45 hours a week, sometimes more...and somehow my grades actually went up...she pretty much forced me to focus, so that had a lot to do with it, haha

Truth

ie: Mr. Williams is in agreement with the original poster

this would be why I'm the "technical advisor" for the board

Well they can deal with it. I was just saying your original post wasn't 100% applicable or as easy/cut and dry as stated.

I also personally think is someone is going to work they need to try and take as many of the general education classes (i.e. Old Testament, New Testament, Theology, Philosophy, English, History, Government, etc...) online as possible to avoid any scheduling inconveniences.

Sportscritic just tagged my Jeep with a reminder that my parking sticker had expired. Officer, I have the new decal now. Thanks for the warning.

Saw OU812 Tour in Greensboro one night after seeing Diamond Dave in the same building. OU812 show may be my favorite concert ever.

Now back to regularly scheduled parking discussion.

I won't argue the former but I believe the latter is up for considerable debate. Perhaps VH will tour with Chickenfoot so we can decide for ourselves once again.

I'm guessing these bands were extremely popular right before I was born nearly 25 years ago :P

There will be more sold-out stadium dates coming soon for the reworked VH. Wish Michael Anthony was back in the lineup.

There is some new parking going in across from the Vines between the road and 460. Not sure how many spots or who will be allowed to use it

Thank goodness. Beautifying the campus by paving over one patch of grass at a time. Maybe we should get those 10 people who are allowed to park there a segway to prevent any excess walking.
