I do remember that Robbie Justino did not play until the team played their games at Williams Stadium. At the time, Paul (I forget his last name) was the quarterback and tore his ACL on a QB sack. That play began Justino's time behind center.

Surely, you didn't expect Liberty to have the stadium ready and play their first game at Williams Stadium, did you?? :)

Inferno

That QB was Paul Johnson. I thought that Robbie Justino came in during the Eastern Illinois game and lead the team to a come from behind win 9-7 and that game was at City Stadium and then he went on to beat 1A E MIchigan on the road. Towson then followed and that is when Willard May Stadium opened and Justino had his first start.

Badger- will you be going to the game? If so, we'll have to talk about tickets.

Yes, for sure. I plan to be in town that weekend for about 5 days total. it would be fun to get together as my wife is not coming with.

I remember the East Illinois game fairly well since my next door neighbor named Brent was the starting TE for EIU that day (Prop 48 kid who would've been in Big Ten if he could have qualified). I remember talking to him behind the bench during the game and he was just thrilled they flew instead of riding the bus like they typically did back in the day.

But I don't remember who as at QB for us. It seemed like Paul Johnson was perennially injured or playing hurt. When he was healthy he was terrific. Wish he had been healthy more.

Just arrived on campus yesterday. You all have no idea how massive this building really is! People have already said it, but I'll reiterate it. Pictures don't even come close to giving it justice. The seating is more steep than I realized, which is great, and will help with enclosing the noise factor coming from the student side. Seriously a tremendous building!

And when you come on campus, look at the tower from the back, like when you are driving up the road from the soccer field: from that angle, you can see the full 5 stories, because from the front, the upper deck blocks most of the view of the entire tower. And the brick work and the arches in the back make it look absolutely majestic!

hard to tell from the construction cam- I'm assuming much of the work is taking place out of sight- but is it possible that the pace is SLOWING?

Looking back it would appear they knock off most days at about 5 PM, and next to nothing appeared to get done yesterday ( I know, it was Sunday)

Both of the above are normal on a 12-18 mo schedule- but we were advised "70 plumbers working 'round the clock" :dontgetit

maybe another contribution to the Flames Club would help

define "frankly worded"

I'm not a grad student so I may need your guidance on that one.

I was gonna- then I figured that sort of apparent mockery might anger The BEEJ even further.

I didn't want to push it

All I meant was write a very honest email expressing your frustrations about this whole process. Itd be nice for them to hear from some of the people that are supposed to be puttin their butts in those seats this fall and thereafter
