SuperJon wrote:Nope. A win over HPU would put us playing CCU at 3:00 on Friday. The winner of that game would go directly to the championship game. The loser would play an elimination game at 7:00 to get to the championship.

Actually a win puts you guys vs Coastal at 11am then the loser (HP in this scenario) goes back and plays winthrop at 3pm for the right to play the LOSER of the 11am game. The 11am winner then goes on to Championship, along with the 3pm game winner.

And if Coastal loses @ 11am the championship its all screwed up and they add in an extra game. I usually check scores at D1 baseball anyway -- so rather than pulling up the PDF bracket i usually just click over there for tourny updates: http://www.d1baseball.com/tournies2010.htm

Scroll down a few for the Big South...its accurate/up to date with scores, matchups, and who plays who next.

Side note--- so theoretically you could face coastal 3 more times this tourny (2 wins and a loss). If you guys win tonight, and then lose to coastal tomorrow morning...you could still make it back to a championship and possibly play coastal two more times. For your tourny sake I gotta think that's the best scenario (or win the first and have them get back to the championship).

Yeah, you're most definitely wrong. If we win tonight, we play Coastal at 3 tomorrow for the right to go to the championship game. Loser plays at 7.

Jon's right. Four teams have already been bounced. Winthrop plays the loser of Liberty-High Point tomorrow at 11; Coastal plays the winner at 3; then the winner of the 11 a.m. game plays the loser of the 3 p.m. game at 7 in an elimination game.

Could very well be a rematch against High Point tomorrow night. Of course, LU must beat Winthrop at 11 a.m. and assuming Coastal beats High Point.

Josh Richardson's gonna get his first collegiate start in the morning against Winthrop.

Finishing up the video now. Hoping to have it ready by 11 or so.

Hey, that's VMI's motto in 2010.......still, a tough one for LU. Holding HPU to two runs was a fine effort.

Heck, we lost to CSU 1-0 (Thornburg)
