Thanks. Baseball's a lot harder to do than basketball because there are a lot more guys and a lot less structure. In basketball, the teams eat team meals together and all of that stuff. In baseball, everyone's on their own more. Hopefully I can get some good stuff tomorrow that's a little different than what we showed today.

bigsmooth wrote:magnificant perfromance by steven evans. i would have liked to see us save some of evans arm, but hey a great win, the 40th of the season and we keep moving on. any of the more baseball savvy people explain why not go to the bullpen, or since evans was so on, you just leave him in?
I think Evans complete game is huge. In a tournament like this, you want to have a completely fresh bullpen to give yourself every option in the next couple games. Even if they pull Evans early, he still probably is only available for 1-2 innings on Saturday - which they might still do anyway if desperate, depending on the situation (ie, championship game, need a lefty to pitch in a particular situation).

Great job by the Flames!

That's a tough call. I don't like the fact that Evans is prob. done for the weekend, but I actually think it was a good call.

Great Job on the Vlog SJ. I love the Al Hrbosky routine. Who was that? Tyler Bream has a sweet stroke, but is it just me or is he actually slower than his dad? haha.

He may be. Actually, when he was at LU, and before he messed up his knee, Sid could motor pretty well for a guy 6'4" and about 220. He didn't steal a lot of bases, but he had a high %. He could also dunk a basketball with ease. The guy who chugged into the plate to score the winning run in the playoffs against Pittsburgh was not the same athlete. He pretty much played the last several years of his career on one leg. With today's medicine he would have had a much longer and more productive career.

I'm assuming you mean the pitching thing? That was Negron. He was doing an impression of someone from Angels in the Outfield.

Thats funny, very few people know that about Sid. He could move very well for his size before knee surgery's

As they say, "don't let the door hit you in the a__ on the way out". Lost 17 out of our final 21

Lose only 2 seniors out of 32........we'll see in 2011. :)

And Radford had bases loaded, one out in the 1st, didn't score (sounds like us the past 5 weeks).

At least we "held" CCU to 11 yesterday, in 8 at-bats. :dontgetit
