OK BJ, enlighten us. I read the entire article and did not read anything specific about what the gift is. As far as LUconn's post is concerned....................... I think you should consider the possibility that he wasn't being serious. In fact, I believe Doc had specifically said he didn't want any statues of him.

“We figured this would be the best way to honor him, by showing others how his faith in the Lord enabled his dream to be fulfilled,”

This statement, along with saying it would "overlook the campus" lead me to think it may be something along the lines of a webcam with a view of the campus that could be seen on the college website. Just a guess though.

"What we're doing is having a memorial on top of the monogram where there will be a large bronze plaque of an image of what the valley looked like before it was Liberty University, the same image that he saw when he would prayer walk the mountain and just pray God would give it to him as a university," SGA President Matt Mihelic said.

My apologies LUConn...I should not have been so crass in response to your comment. I had read that they would be unveiling a podium at graduation and they had not indicated where itd be placed, but having seen and heard what Mr Mihelic offered about it, I think it is a wonderful tribute from the last generation of "Falwell's Kids"...Im hoping for a Joshua-like resurgence to continue as the generations continue to come through this university.
