The Steelers are overreacting in my opinion, but I doubt they'd be dumb enough to trade within their division. (I made a funny since you're an Eagles fan but I'm being completely serious). I don't see why the Rams wouldn't. They need the QB. Sure he's suspended for 4 games but your rookie QB probably shouldn't be starting right off the bat anyway. And if he does, he'll probably suck for those 4 games. Teams don't really seem to think in that regard though. Draft picks seem to be valued more than a young proven veteran for reasons I don't understand.

Its only a "funny" if you actually believe that McNabb makes the skins a threat to win the conference year after year. I for one have zero faith he can get it done.

Nothing concrete here but would be interesting...
According to “Kobe,” a former radio jockey in Pittsburgh, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Oakland Raiders have completed a deal, pending league approval, that would send suspended quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to Oakland for Nnamdi Asomugha and a swap of first-round picks.

Reports early this week had pointed to the Steelers openly shopping Roethlisberger, and even going as far to call teams with top 10 picks in Thursday’s NFL draft to gauge interest.

More specifically, Jason La Canfora of NFL Network, had hinted at trade talks heating up between the Steelers and Raiders, and they may have finally come to fruition.

Pittsburgh is DUMB!!!!!! The players Union should be disbanded after this situation. The guy got charged with nothing. What happen to innocent until proven guilty? If they really are going to give ladies an audience to make rumors up and act on them - they might as well shut down every professional sport. He went to a club and had sex... OK - half the league should be suspended.

This whole things a joke. Pitt - take the moral ground and your team will stink for the next 10 years... Good luck signing players without any baggage.

I'm not endorsing clubbing and premarital sex, but we are we to judge???

The NFL is one to judge. Goodell has been trying to clean up their image. Would you never take any action upon your employees unless they were convicted?

Nope. Not unless it was done during work time or it affected their duties... We would probably get sued if we did that...

there is plenty of eye witness reports that say otherwise...just not dna...

you are giving the way too much credit if you honestly think he wasn't at the very least taking advantage of the girl...it may not have been rape, but it sure has heck was completely wrong and against the image the nfl is trying to avoid having...

of course nfl has many more players getting charged then the nba yet the nba will still be called the "thug league"

ok...back to the regularly scheduled draft talk

Isn't Virginia a fire for whatever reason you want state?

but anyway, it's 20 minutes away until the Rams are on the clock and I'm so excited. Probably more than I should be for 1 round.

So Oklahoma had 3 of the top 4. And more are projected to go in this first round. You would have expected better results on the field. I guess Bradford didn't really help them out though.

As for the espn draft team:
Chris Berman has needed to retire for about 10 years now. He's awful, especially at these live events. There are more awkward moments created by him than I can count, and whenever he starts talking, everyone else at the desk just stares at him with blank looks.
Tommy Jackson kind of sucks, but he's Berman's buddy.
Steve Young and Jon Gruden seemed to be battling for king of the desk. Both are pretty good, but Gruden is quickly becoming the best football guy on TV, if not ever.
Mel Kiper looked like he was scared to talk, wouldn't really give any opinions. It's like he didn't really need to be there.

And what's with having Erin Andrews "on-site" where Jimmy Clausen was? It looked like she was standing out on some golf course with no one else around. So stupid. If they don't want you there with them, do show up and hang around outside like a stalker.

I normally don't agree with you but i watched the 1st round with Proto and HMO and we said most if not all of the same things.

* - of note Berman just resigned with ESPN so they had a chance to get rid of him and for some odd reason decided it was best to lock him up from the rest of his life now id guess.....

I watched all night on NFLN. Now that's a quality broadcast.

I found out during this whole Chris Berman being courted by RedZone Channel and NFLN deal, that he is 54 years old. Which is crazy because he must have been super young when he got the job at ESPN. But 54 means he's not going anywhere for a long time unfortunately. He looks like he's in his late 60s.

Jimmy struck out last night for sure but hopefully he had better luck with Erin now that she has to stay another day...

...How big of a joke is Kipers big board. His #1 best available has been the same for 25 picks or so with Tebow jumping the majority of them
