Both are good, well written articles. I think Jennifer Knapp answered honestly about her life and her views.

That's about it. She was a lot more popular in the late 90's and early 2000's than she is now. Disappearing for ten years will do that to a career, though.

A dorm mate of mine back in college spent a summer as an intern with Toby Mac's label. His time coincided with the odd departure of Knapp. As he tells it, she basically entered a board meeting of the execs, including Toby, telling them she was a lesbian and was calling it quits. They allowed her to release the new singles she had already completed towards a new album (about 5 songs) on a Greatest Hits album, and then she was done.

No. No jesting here. Just seems more like gossip than news to me. Like I said, I understand why it's news for a publication like The Advocate. But why is this legitimate news among Christians? Why are we running headlines because it's our belief that someone has sin in their life? Is it because she stands on a stage with a guitar in front of people? Is it because she was "on our team" and now she's not?

I'm not being facetious. I really don't get why the church continues to react this way to this sort of thing. It doesn't seem productive, becoming or like legitimate news.

This is one of those things where for some, she is leading worship. And on top of that there is a difference between "We're all sinners" and living in habitual sin. So yeah, it would be because she was on our team and now she's not.

Re: predispositions vs predetermintations, that's what my GNED teacher used to talk about in the sense that it doesn't contradict what most of us believe.
