baylor has outrebounded opponents by nearly 7 boards are game for the season and are now getting absolutely worked on the boards

EDIT: let me rephrase it. Baylor is being embarrassed on the boards by a bunch of white guys no where nearly as athletic as they are. pathetic

Baylor got hosed with that Zoubek flop. They would be up 4 at the line. Instead a 7 footer slides under a guy to flop instead of try to defend the ball.

Oh, so you mean it's not the refs fault? :P

It's about 10% the refs fault.

Wow... really guys? You on here and Sly on Twitter, it's sad. Look at the last play, they get a tip in using Scheyer as a boost to jump the the basket. No call. It goes both ways. Refs have been balanced (but bad) this game.

did you watch the UK game :dontgetit

they got manhandled on both sides of the board and not just by the UK bigs...

this tournament has been handed to Duke, so im not surprised to see Duke in the Final Four and wont be surprised when they win

Butler is going to win the thing. They are playing like a team of destiny, and have not been rattled in the least. Izzo is a great coach, but I really think Butler might just stomp a mudhole in MSU Saturday.

The Spartans last 3 games I thought they were gonna lose big time, but somehow they just keep winning games. I think this should be a really fun Final Four. Of course i'm really hoping that WVU can pull out another 2 victories. :D

WVU was the only good 2 seed, as is evident by the results so far. So it's not like Duke got that bad of a 2 seed in Nova, since all the 2's were weak, just like the other 1's were weak. And if Duke had been a 2 seed, they would have been the best 2 seed, and been in a group with a team like Syracuse or Kentucky, and would have beat either of them. If they beat WVU, then we can say they'd beat WVU, too, and proves that, even if you gave them a 2 seed, they'd be just fine.

In retrospect, the #1's should have been Kentucky, Duke, WVU, Kansas in that order. 'Cuse had no business on the top line without Onuaku. Kansas wasn't the best team in the country. UK looked good, but they just weren't built to run thru the tourney. Duke is built to run thru the tournament. Experience, talent, and a good coach.

So keep crying about Duke, but they got what a 1 seed deserves, which is the easiest possible road. They got a 16 seed, which is an easy win, they got a 8/9, which should be easy for a 1 seed (other than KU apparently), then they got a 4 with a lot of talent that did well in a good conference, then a really good 3 that every "expert" was very high on before the tournament. Not sure how people considered them the worst 3, I'd say they were the best, particularly in retrospect.

But keep rolling with the same old conspiracy theory. When Duke's cutting down nets, I'll bring you a tin foil hat.

One call is one call, ref. It doesn't decide a game. You should be the first to remind everyone of that, even if it is a Dookie getting the benefit. And Baylor lost their minds at the end, which is why they lost the game. Simple as that.

And no, I'm not a Duke fan at all. I like them more than some of the other teams in this Tourney, tho.

Villanova was a joke of a #2 seed and in no matter, shape, or form deserved to be a #2 seed - they finished the season losing 5 of the last 7 games and 6 of the last 9 before the NCAA Tournament started. #2 seeds, who theoretically shou,d be ranked 5-8, dont lose 5-of-7 or 6-of-9 at any stretch in the season if they are really that good. Purdue was a weak #4 seed playing without their best player in Robbie Hummel, Cal was a very weak #8 seed (Northern Iowa would have handled Cal). Baylor was the only quality team Duke played.

Before the tournament started, Steve Lavin said on ESPN that Duke's Region was the easiest he has seen in 25 years. It doesn't take a genius to look at the results of the region to show that. Duke didn't deserve the easiest region, they weren't even the #1 overall seed. Since Kansas was supposed to be the #1 overall seed, they should have gotten the easiest region, not Duke. Just more NCAA bias towards Duke.

And the NCAA set it up so that the other #1 seeds would lose to 9, 5, and 2 seeds, right? All to make it easier for Duke?

Give me a break.

They sure as hell didn't set it up to make it difficult on Duke, that's for sure. You'd have to be completely ignorant of basketball to not realize, before and afterwards, that Duke got the easiest road to the Final Four and it's not even close. Face it, it was an unbalanced bracket that was tipped in the favor of Duke. Rather they intentionally did it to help Duke out doesn't really matter. What does matter is that Duke, entering into the tournament, in no way deserved to get the easiest region as the third overall seed. Entering into the tournament Kansas did. They did not play up to that level, obviously, but if Kansas was the true #1 overall seed like they said they were, they should have gotten the easiest region, now Duke.

Duke got the best 3 seed. By far. They also got the play in game. Wierd. Either way, Duke got the easiest bracket.

The seeding this year was terrible IMO. Notre Dame, Cal, Georgetown and Vandy should have been lower. Notre Dame was considered a bubble team a week before the selection. Beat Connecticut in the tourney and you get a 6 seed? HA.

Not only that but Mississippi State gets left out after playing Kentucky to OT in the SEC Tourney and Florida gets in??

I love Florida, but there was no reason they should have gotten in over Miss State....

And like everyone else besides Lefty has pointed out, Duke had the easiest road to the Final Four by far of any of the number 1 seeds... but o well, lets go WVU haha... really would have liked to see Baylor in the Four as well...

"Really would have like to have seen Baylor"

"Duke had the easiest road"

Pick one. Can't have the best of both worlds.

I guess Kansas had the toughest road, with Ohio State and G'Town? Oh, wait.

No, it was Syracuse, with K State and Pitt? Oh wait.

Duke's road wound up being just as tough as the hypothetical road of those teams that lost early.

They'll have beat an 16, 8, 4, 3, and 2 to make the Final. Kansas would have had a much easier road had they not crapped out early, not having to face a 2 or 3 seed. They would have faced a 16, 9, 5, 6, and 5 to make the final. And Duke has the easiest road? Give me a break.

I think both those statements are true... Baylor wasn't the greatest team on the floor but i would have enjoyed seeing them go to the Four... unfortunately they are not and Duke won...

I think UK had one of the toughest roads even though they were blowing people out till WVU... if you put Duke in UK's bracket as the #1 and UK down in Duke's bracket there is no question UK is in the Final Four, i think that pretty much goes with all the number 1 seeds though...
