Brandon Knight, the two-time national player of the year, is apparently going to be UK bound based on what everyone "in the know" is saying now. Additionally, UK is on the radar of just about every top 50-100 recruit who hasn't signed or committed anywhere. So, basically, UK is going to come away with another top notch class, just no one really has any clue who will be in it and how many, depends a lot on who all declares for the draft. A lot of the top guys seem to be waiting until the late signing period this year to sign on with a school, so there is going to be a lot of action going on with spring recruiting for the 2010 HS class.
no no no, THAT is a recruitment that I've been following closely and the only people saying it's a done deal to UK is Kentucky fans. In the end I think he'll end up there but it's still wide open.
I have to agree w/ Shuk here, BK is a Kentucky lock. If not Kentucky, he was going to Florida...and the Gators just withdrew from his recruitment.

Kentucky will lose half their team only to replace them with five more one-and-done guys and flame out in the Elite Eight/Final Four again next year. Then in three years it'll come out that Calipari cheated again. That's the way the cycle goes.

Kentucky normally doesn't shoot 4-for-32 from three. In fact, it was their worst shooting performance all season. I had no reason to expect UK would have their worst shooting performance of the year.

Fact 1) Camby took money from an agent. NCAA said Calipari had nothing to do with it.
Fact 2) Rose allegedly didn't take his SAT - which has still yet to be proven. NCAA said Calipari had nothing to do with it.
Fact 3) If you have nothing to do with NCAA violations, then you aren't a cheater. A guy can't be a criminal without committing a criminal act.

If you don't believe me, look through the NCAA reports, you won't find them accusing Calipari of cheating in any matter. Roy Williams and Coach K have more NCAA violations on their resume than Calipari does (which is ZERO, by the way).

Sure you did: WVU's defense!

I'm glad you made this point, because you're absolutely right. Calipari is only guilty of negligence and progam mismanagement - unfortunately NOT violations.

WVU played good defense, but the WVU defense didn't stop UK from missing wide open three pointers either.

Calipari nor any other coach is capable of monitoring his players/recruits 24/7/365 to prevent from doing illegal things like taking money from an agent and lying about it (CAmby) or allegedly not taking his SAT (Rose). A Kansas (or any school) player could be taking money from an agent right now or a Kansas recruit could be having some guy take his SAT for him and Bill Self could not even know about it. How is he supposed to be able to prevent it if he doesn't even know about it? Can't be a cheater if you don't cheat.

LUconn wrote:ok, now they the dragon has been slain, what does UK look like next year? Bledsoe, Cousins and Wall have got to all be gone. But I'm sure the top 5 recruits are coming in.
Also, one other thing to add, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see the dribble drive motion offense to be used a lot more next year. Calipari used it less this year because he had a beast in the low post in Cousins he wanted to utilize more than the DDMO typically allows for since the 5-man in the DDMO tends to operate on the weak side and gets his points off ofensive rebounding. Next year will probably be a return to the tyical DDMO for Kentucky with less of a post game as Orton is the only true post likely to return (although Patterson has said he is open to returning for his final year) - what I've read about Enes Kanter is that he can step out and shoot the ball from long range and put the ball on the floor some, making him more of the prototypical 4-man in the DDMO.

michigan state is going to have get the pace slowed down a little - the pace is exactly what UT wants it to be. or keep shooting the three and getting a UT player to foul you on it works as well.

the lack of order is what make this tournament so great...if everything happened as expected i would be bored with it

yes, I hate UT though, so I am glad order was restored for one game at least.

Acy's charge for his 3rd foul honestly looked like a block. First, Zoubeck completed his movement into position after Acy had left the floor. Second, the contact looked more to the shoulder than the "trunk" of the body, aka, not square.
