In the top of the 5th, Robertson hits a triple down the right field line to plate the first run for the Flames. He is on third base with one out in the inning.

Things aren't looking good in terms of getting a regional without getting an auto-bid. We're a great team, but we can't seem to put it together when we need to and get the hit, or out, that will get us a win. We had the bases loaded in the 9th with 1 out and we threw it away. Tough breaks for the guys this year... hopefully we can hit another streak and make up for these losses.

Golly...only three midweek games and we're destined to have to get an auto...we still have 40 games left, and a whole busload of midweek contests (including getting Duke back at our confines) so we have time to turn it around

BJ it's been said since the beginning of the season that dropping a few of the games like this isnt an option if we want an at large

I realize that...we still have 11 midweek games left and we get JMU and Duke back at our place later on in the year.

Actually we had the bases loaded with no outs. We should have won this game by 3-4 runs in 9 innings, but we made some mental errors and base running mistakes. Negron also took 3 called strikes with the bases loaded after starting out with a 3-0 count. All the strikes were close and all were in the very same spot. Can't take 3 in a row in that situation.
