Has anybody been watching the US curling matches? Shuster has to be the most unclutch person in history. He like the anti-Robert Horry. I've never seen anybody with so many chances to redeem himself, just completely lay yet another egg. Luckily last nights bloodbath against the 2nd worst team (2nd only to ourselves) has sent them home.

Germany is catching up in the medal count because they have the best engineers designing their sleds. Almost half of their medals are in bobsled, luge or skeleten.

Yes, they do have good drivers and pushers in those sleds, but so do we and a lot of other countries. I really think it's the equipment that allows them to dominate the way they do.

i watched the us last night and they are horrible.


i also enjoy that fact that the beady eyed flappy headed canucks are like "this game doesn't matter, blah bblah blha blha blah" trying to play off their suckitude....meanwhile 1/3 of their nation tuned into the game....lolz.

USA second in the the Nordic combined team competition through the ski jumping portion and will be two seconds back on the Finns in the relay which should get going in the next little while

+1 for the anti-Horry comment. I was searching for a comparison, and that seems to fit well. I guess he did have his day 4 years ago because they won the bronze, but what happened since then?

The US men got the silver in the nordic combined relay behind Austria. The Finns faded out of the medals. After never winning a medal in the sport in the history of the games, they are now right up there with the best.

Dutch speed skater Sven Kramer needs a new coach. Kramer had the 10,000 m gold only to lose it because his coach told him to switch lanes when he already had. The illegal lane change DQ'ed him. Partly his own fault but the coach was screaming at him to change at the last second. He looked like he wanted to punch him when he found out.

USA picks up a silver in women's hockey, a gold AND silver in nordic combined and a silver in men's aerials (as Peterson hits his signature "Hurricane") and the gap is six medals going into today.

USA men's hockey had built a 6-0 lead over Finland well before the end of the first period and has been cruising since. Still 6-0 with a couple of minutes to go in period 2. Looking more and more like it will be US vs the canuks for the gold.

USA should officially clinch the medals race today. leading in 4-man bobsled, going for gold (against Canada no less) in both team pursuit races and a chance at one in the parallel giant slalom for snowboarding and in the alpine slalom.
