Wikipedia: The Fray's initial songs contained lyrics with strong Christian messages, and they cited Christian rock groups as influences.[57] However, the band soon gave up themes of Christianity and any trace of religion in their lyrics.[58][59] They have since stated that they do not consider themselves a Christian band.[60]

I'm not a Fray fan, don't own any of their music, but I did watch a concert they had on PBS and it was a pretty good show.

Anyone know who's opening for them? That's kinda important.

their music has been distributed in the "christian" market...they have been played on the light for years now...and they haven't been ones to shy away from their faith, so not sure why there would be any kind of problem with this decision....then again it is liberty and people find anything to get upset about

I guess you were one? I know its a stereotype, but many of the homeschooled kids who come into the dorms as freshmen can be so extremely conservative its scary.

Yes I was. I know. It's actually a shame, and you are right. I don't think conservative is the right word though. Clueless is probably a more proper term.

They send out a lot of free stuff if you're on their mailing list. Pretty decent band -- if I was in town, I might go. Of course, I'd be the old guy standing in the back of the room trying to act cool, and nobody would want to talk to me.

Boy do I know that feeling. We need to start acting our age and listening to more age appropriate fare, Phoenix. On second thought, my stomach just revolted at the thought.

Medic can advise you on how to do this without the stomach convulsions.

I'm still holding out for Neil Diamond. If we can get Ben Stein, why not Neil Diamond? :oldhag
