Barber to Take Plunge for Special Olympics

Liberty Director of Athletics Jeff Barber, along with dozens of other courageous volunteer fundraisers, are set to take a chilling plunge for a good cause on Feb. 27, at Camp Hydaway Lake on Liberty Mountain.

The Special Olympics Virginia will be hosting its second annual Polar Plunge Festival, presented by Liberty Athletics and Ultimate LU. The event will take place at Camp Hydaway Lake from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The main event will occur at 1:30 p.m., when fundraisers will bravely jump into the icy waters of Hydaway Lake.
