JLFJR wrote:Rooster, the arm is a little sore but I sure do not need to come down with H1N1. Thank you for your comments about LU. God really is blessing the school. That is also great news about your MBA plans. Let me know what I can do to help. Jcmanson, thank you for your perspective. We have changed the headline on the http://www.liberty.edu article to clarify that it was the enrollment vision that was fulfilled. There are still many other challenges and goals facing us as we move toward the fulfillment of the complete vision for Liberty University!
As others have said, we truly appreciate you coming on here to explain your point of view and to listen to our input. I have always loved how you and your dad were never willing to settle. I love how you take opportunities to make LU better and don't just sit back on past victories.

As for the MBA, I'm still looking into the details. It will work out when the timing is right with work and family schedules and finances.

Take it from some one who is currently in the MBA Program. It really is a good program and the course schedule works great. I Started in March of last year and I will be finished, Lord willing, this August. I have not felt that I was overdoing myself in any way. I still have plenty of time to spend with family, work full time, and travel. All that while still maintaining a 3.5 GPA. I would highly reccomend getting into it. I have no regrets.

For the record, I didn't see the video played this morning from '85 but I was probably there. I remember him specifically talking about a day when 50-thousand students would attend LU. We thought it might as well have been 50-million but it also is the reason so many of us Old Hags have learned not to put aside audacious vision.

Thanks JLFJR for clearing everything up. I'm glad you are in charge.

I do remember Jerry Falwell talking in chapel during my years there 72-75 about one day LU playing Notre Dame in football. That was before Liberty mountain was even thought of. I cannot remember if he pegged a number for the student body but I would not have been surprised if he did not. I just do not remember. Also to be honest I was more caught up in working full time to pay my bills, tuitions and going to school full time to pay attention most of the time.

Jerry Jr, thanks for your input on many topics here, God bless LU and you!

Would love to see 25k on campus, but at that point I think we'll need -

1. A few parking garages
2. Possibly not allowing freshmen cars

Having a campus that is pedestrian friendly and not snarling with traffic will help us recruit more students and better students.
