Your right...the early reports from the airport are calling for a MONSTER...I'm not even going to say the huge number being speculated. Really have to wait to Wed to get a fairly good idea of what's going to happen and come Thursday you can have some solid numbers to predict.

Where are all these people getting the forecast from? I havent seen any public forecast that is willing to put a number on the weekend to the public...only those that subscribes to the service to prepare for these type things.

1. Person said VDOT is spreading the word that we could get possibly......( fill in large number)

2. Another is saying they know a meterologist and the models right now are looking large.

What's sad is that the global warming zealots can rationalize with a straight face that this weather we are experiencing is actually being caused by an overall warming trend.

Did I suddenly move back to Flagstaff? Wow. I would assume this would put the PC/Liberty game in serious jeopardy. It would have to be moved to Sunday, but if there's 30 inches, it will be tough to dig out even by then.

Conference rules are if both teams are there and two refs are there then the game is to be played. I'd assume that PC is coming over from Lexington on Thursday after their game so they'd probably be here. It'd be a matter of getting to the arena.

Then I may be covering the game off the Edge. Getting out of my neighborhood is not exactly easy. Or I could park on Rivermont and get plowed in. Oy.

Rumors around work were 20-30", WSET is saying 6-10 right now, but that number "could go up or down depending on how much sleet mixes in,"

I'm going to predict 10-20"

Dear people of Lynchburg: Driving 12 mph on Langhorne Road isn't helping anyone. If you can't drive in this stuff, stay the h-e-double-hockey sticks home.

I didn't even hit 35 on 460 coming home from the wrestling match. Every time I'd think I could speed up I'd slide a little bit. As I got off of Campbell Ave I saw an SUV in the median in the ditch. I was much happier with my 33mph then.
