Yeah, this morning they wouldn't even make one. Just said it was at least 12 - 24 hours too soon.

I have been all over this town looking for a new snow shovel. How do places like Lowes and Home Depot not have snow shovels? I'll hit up True Value tomorrow. They're always the last place I look and they're often the only place that has what I'm looking for.

OK, as of today, all of the big box stores were trying to push grain shovels off on me. They have them out on display along with their salt bags. Even if those things didn't pick up 50 lbs of snow at a time, they have these squatty little handles that force you to bend down low while you're trying to fling your 50lbs of snow. Finally I made it to true value and they had like 6 or 7 different types of actual snow shovels. All priced about the same, and all relatively a rip off. But since they have the market cornered apparently, I got one.

It's getting bad here in the burg. 6 inches plus outside my place near downtown and coming down HARD. If this keeps up all day and through the night as predicted, it's going to be another monster. I learned to drive up north and have a small 4WD SUV, but I started to go out a few minutes ago with the idea of driving across town to my mom's and turned back half way to my car. Not worth it without a really pressing need.
